What To Expect

Meet your guide, author David Rodríguez, in Old San Juan and head out to explore the historic city on foot. Listen to David tell you all about the city and its history as you visit some of San Juan's top urban highlights, such as the Ponce de Leon Statue and La Princesa Walkway.

See the Fort San Cristobal from the outside, check out the Catedral Basilica Menor de San Juan Bautista, and spend time at the Plaza de Armas. Be prepared to learn a lot about San Juan—and feel free to ask plenty of questions—as you spend around two hours walking through the historic part of the city.

Amazing Tour!

The walking tour was great! Old San Juan is a must if you're visiting Puerto Rico, even if only for a day or two. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and he provided very interesting history and facts about San Juan and its history. I definitely recommend this tour!

Had a wonderful experience on our walking tour! Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about the region and its history. The tour progressed in a roughly 2 mile loop around the island with a pit stop halfway through to rest in the shade and take a quick bathroom break. He even made recommendations of the best local restaurants and cafes to check out afterwards which was very helpful.

Incredible and Illuminating Old San Juan

I am from Puerto Rico living in the states. I lived in Puerto Rico and have been to Old San Juan countless times. I learned things from this tour I had never known. David was knowledgeable and considerate. He had water for us, kept us in the shade whenever possible and considered the group population as we walked to the different sites meaning he didn't just take us uphill. He deliberately wound us around the streets sideways in between uphill so as to make the walking less challenging. I would DEFINITELY do this again and have highly recommended this to all my friends and family in Puerto Rico. It is a must for tourists AND locals.

Our guide, David, didn't seem really into the tour. Took us to some nice places but we'd have been better served just getting a guidebook and walking by ourselves. Then we could have spent some time in the fort (which he recommended).

David was great! We went on the morning tour which was great because it wasn’t super unbearable with the heat. He took us all around Old San Juan & was very knowledgeable—he shared some history and fun facts along the way. I do wish we would’ve been able to stop a little longer at each spot to take pictures but overall it was a really nice experience, definitely recommend!
