After hoisting the sails, we’ll cut the engine and enjoy the tranquility on our beautiful schooner. As the sun sets, we will celebrate another beautiful summer day in the Pacific Northwest! Enjoy a beverage and the beautiful views as we sail back to the city.

    What To Expect

    Set sail on a historic tall ship and enjoy sunset views from the water of Puget Sound on this Evening Colors Sailing Cruise in Seattle.

    Make your way to the plaza next to Bell Harbor Marina Office then walk as a group to board the ship. Cruise out onto Puget Sound, then help hoist the sails up. Admire views of the Seattle skyline, including the Space Needle, while sailing around the sound. On a clear day, enjoy views of Mount Rainier, the Olympic Mountains, and the Cascade Mountains.

    Enjoy a beverage while watching the sunset, with the possibility of a cannon salute, before returning back to marina at the end of the approximately 2-hour cruise.

    The view was gorgeous. The crew was great. We had a great time. The moon rosé between the downtown buildings as an extra treat. The sunset was spectacular.only bad thing was the wind and cold temperature. But we dressed for it.

    Seeing the city lights and being in the water was amazing. But there was no sunset to be seen (can’t be controlled). The rest of the sail was a bit boring after an hour. They only had cold drinks, and it was getting cold late at night. Would have loved a coffee or hot coco. Overall a fun experience but won’t do again.

    Great view, fun people running the show. Bring a coat as it can get a little chilly on the way back into port.

    Was not worth the money. We really didn’t go anywhere. Just kind of floated around the port. We wanted more site seeing. Said it had drinks which we had to pay for. Other than watching other guests help hoist the sails and a cannon shoot there really wasn’t anything to it.

    Looked so forward to this and there was not enough wind so we sat in the same place most of the time. We were not that far from the pier. It was very disappointing.

    Great experience! The captain and deck hands were kind, helpful, and informative. It was a gorgeous night on the sound. Highly recommend this trip for out of towners. It was worth the cost.

    It was crowded and awkward. The crew were loud and obnoxious. I was not impressed and it was not like it was advertised. A drunk guy had a lot of not so hidden booze and was loud, obnoxious and acted dangerous. I was uncomfortable with that and the crew just ignored him. I also found it extremely tacky they waved around a ratty bag for tips in everyone’s face as people got off the boat. Of course the views were spectacular but you can get a harbor tour for half this price and experience more.

    This excursion was perfect for our first night in Seattle. The boat chases the sun for about an hour until it's just ready to slip away, and then you turn around and head back toward the skyline. There's plenty of wine and other drinks for purchase on the boat, and the two hours slipped by so fast. You don't have to participate in "hoisting the sails" if you don't want to. I would estimate there about twenty tourists and three crew on the boat. There's a small little bathroom in case you have too much wine. ;)

    We had a great time! Sunset was beautiful and crew was professional and lots of fun! We had the opportunity to mingle and chat from people from many places! Drink choices were great!

    What a lovely way to end our visit to Seattle. The staff were very expert and seemed to really enjoy taking us aboard and demonstrating the real sailing experience. We saw the sun set with the breeze in our faces and a drink in our hand. Due to smoke haze the sun was a red ball of fire and quite unique. We returned to harbor to see the spectacular lights of the city. Highly recommend this amazing experience!

    The staff was fantastic and I loved how it was interactive for guests to help with sails. The boat was a little cramped and there wasn’t really space to move around because of the number of guests. Views were beautiful. A narrative and pointing out sites would have been a nice addition. Can’t express enough how great the staff was.
