What To Expect

Following hotel pickup in the morning by private vehicle, your personal guide accompanies you to the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). This futuristic urban development project includes museums along with galleries, exhibition halls, and events. Wander on foot while you learn about the newly minted landmark and cultural park.

Then move on to your next stop: Jangchungdan Park. The former shrine commemorated fallen Korean soldiers who attempted to protect Gyeongbok Palace from the Japanese invasion and occupation. 

Have lunch at a local restaurant and continue your sightseeing at the Seoul City Wall Museum. One can find historical artifacts on exhibit or walk the fortress path of the rebuilt Dongdaemun city wall where six of eight original gates remain. Then it's on to the Ihwa Mural Village near Naksan Park. Marvel at the whimsical street art, paintings, and sculptures that helped revitalize the formerly unattractive neighborhood once threatened for demolition.

Make a getaway to Buam-dong for a stroll through the Baeksasil Valley, or so-called Secret Valley. The ecological forest provides a welcome refuge for city dwellers and visitors alike. You’re served tea at Suyeonsanbang, an authentic teahouse set in nature. The charming site originally belonged to a renowned Korean author who used it as a workshop.
