Ideal for photographers, birders, and whale-watching enthusiasts, this day cruise from Seward takes you into the remote Northwestern Fjord in the Kenai Fjords National Park. Travel on a small-vessel adventure cruise that explores this untouched area with narration by a seasoned crew. A deli lunch, as well as coffee, tea, and water are provided on board. Additional snacks and beverages are available for purchase.
After cruising through Resurrection Bay, discover the Chiswell Islands (part of the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge) or Cape Resurrection, home to thousands of nesting seabirds, Steller sea lions, and other wildlife. (Depending on conditions the boat’s route may change.) Don’t be surprised if you see Dall’s porpoises playing alongside the bow; or listen to the exhale of whales as they spout nearby.
Continue to Harris Bay, with hidden coves, rugged mountains, and possibly feeding whales. When you enter the untouched and untamed Northwestern Fjord, look for the alpine glaciers nestled high on the cliffs.
Spend time near Northwestern, Anchor, and Ogive Glaciers (all active tidewater glaciers), to witness glacial calving, where chunks of glacial ice break off and tumble into the water. Spot harbor seals and sea otters lounging on the icebergs.
Your cruise ends back at the Seward Harbor 360 Hotel dock in the early evening.

Glacier view from the ship was awesome ... Even though it was raining for a majority part of the tour, the staff /crew was extremely caring and made us all comfortable and at ease ... The crew was professional ... The crew took the ship very close to the waterfall from the glaciers and we ended up standing Below the water falls ... That experience was breathtaking

This tour was amazing. We were able to see so many animals even on a not great weather day. The staff was very helpful and informative. The ability to move in and out of the cabin with the cold rain was fairly efficient for the larger number on the boat. We were able to see a fin whale. This cruise does go out into the bay of Alaska and can get rough at times

The crew was professional ... The crew took the ship very close to the waterfall from the glaciers and we ended up standing Below the water falls ... That experience was breathtaking

The intense excitement of Scott, Evelyn., and our captain when they spotted Matuska the killer whale made all of us aware that something special was happening. This was the best experience that I can remember. Thanks again.

What a great day! We saw whales, sea otters , stellar sea lions and lots of puffins among other things. The views of the northwestern glacier were breathe taking. Would definitely go again.

We saw so many different animals and birds. The most thrilling was the Humpback Whales and the Orcas! Such a wonderful captain and crew who all worked so hard to show us as much as possible.

We had a great time on this cruise. Check in and boarding was easy and fast. We saw lots of wildlife and some very beautiful sights. We would definitely recommend this cruise to anyone going to Alaska.

Even if we didn’t see amazing wildlife I would still give this tour a high rating. Very efficient. Easy check in. Lunch was organized.
Captain was extremely knowledgable in a very humble way.
Now for the amazing wildlife. We were very lucky to see killer whales and humpback whales bubble net feeding in the same area. Add in the amazing puffins, sea otters, harbor seals, stellar sea lions and the glaciers and it is an experience not to be missed.

The entire day was an amazing experience despite the cloudy and chilly conditions. The landscape itself is incredible, highlighted by the sightings of sea otters, seals, orcas, and humpback whales. The glaciers are humbling, emanating a timeless power despite their recession over the last 100 years. Our crew - Captain Justin and first mate Zach were very knowledgeable both on wildlife biology and history of the area. They added a lot to the quality of the the adventure. Would highly recommend

This was a wonderful experience for my husband and I. The Major Marine Tour ship, was excellent. We were on Orca Song, the captain and crew were the best. Gave great narrative on the sea, the wildlife, everything. Interacted with guests, making sure we were happy!
