William was a very knowledgeable and personable guide, who took the time to learn a little about us and our expectations so that he could make sure that we gained the most from our food tasting experience. As a result the tour was everything we hoped for and more.

Marcus was very attentive and informative. He did an excellent job explaining what we saw and the cultures we encountered. We found the food interesting and good but not to our liking. We enjoyed taking the metro and seeing some of the city. We thought the tour ended abruptly and a better understanding of what we were eating would have been helpful. We recommend both the tour and Marcus as a very insightful visit to Singapore.

It was easy to meet up with Marcus to start the tour. We covered a lot of ground, ate some fabulous food and learned quite a bit about the history of Singapore. Marcus was a great guide. He's very knowledgeable and communicates well. This was our 2nd walking food tour and we love them so much that we've signed up for one in Paris in September!

Our guide Author was AMAZING! He knows all the authentic ( not touristy) food places to go to and we learned so much about the history of Singapore- it was the perfect way to start our trip in Singapore! He is a delight and the private tour was FANTASTIC! Highly recommend- it’s worth every penny and more! You will experience Singapore shopping , sites as well as food. Clearly he is known by many in Singapore and he knows Singapore inside and out. A MUST DO tour.

HJ helped us make the most of our short time in Singapore. We enjoyed all of the dishes that he selected in the 3 districts we visited. We also learned a lot about the history and cultures of the city and we learned about the subway system as well! This will help us make the most of our trip to Singapore next year.

Beware booking this tour through Viator. We confirmed the tour months in advance, and we showed up only to have the tour guide not show up, claiming they were not aware of it. We spent an extra hour getting to the meeting point and waiting for them, thinking they may just be late. We received no warning that the tour was canceled, and after calling viator, they could only refund us the cost of the tour itself, but not the round trip taxi cost and for our wasted time. I am a loyal Viator customer and they have really put a sour taste in my mouth because of their reluctance to offer any additional credit. I asked if they could offer a modest Viator credit to use on future tours for the mishap and they refused. The agent only said they could give me 5% if I book 2 more tours with them, and I thought that was ridiculous, especially since you can get 5% or more off when you book using Rakuten or a shopping portal. I’m still waiting for a reply from their corporate/escalation department. I’m surprised they still sent me the message to review the tour after canceling and refunding me the tour cost, so I am taking this opportunity to notify others of my experience. I cannot review the tour itself, but Viator and/or the tour company needs to take responsibility for this. We even called the tour company and the man who does the tour just said to call Viator and then hung up on me before I could ask for their recommendation of places/restaurants to visit since we had already arrived at the meeting point. I will now 100% always call the tour company ahead of time to verify they are aware of the booking even though Viator claims it’s confirmed. Please do better Viator, especially with customers who have booked dozens of tours with you before.

Our Guide was friendly and informative. Initially I was a bit intimidated by Singapore’s vastness but after walking around the different areas and the ease in using the metro I felt more comfortable.

Obtain more information about your clients regarding their ability to walk at least 3k in very hot and humid weather. The food portions were too big for two people so have a minimum tour size of 4 people. Understand if they have food allergies or are lactose intolerant. Find out where the clients are staying and plan last stop to be closet to the hotel.

We chose this tour because it offered more than just food and our guide provided us with a lot of very interesting cultural and general information. He was very knowledgeable on everything from transport, housing and religions. ! Do not eat beforehand as the servings are very generous. We tried drinks as well as food. we had been to Singapore a few times but this tour still broadened our experience.

We had travelled previously to Singapore and always enjoyed the street food. This time was an especially good experience with our guide. In addition to the food he also chatted with us about the different cultures of Singapore and their roles in society. In addition to the great good experience we also got an excellent lesson in negotiating the Singapore metro system.

Tour was fun and informative. Didn’t do a whole lot of research prior to tour. Guide was great, just hard to understand at times. We were 3 guys who were there for the food so while the information about the various cities was good, we just wanted to eat and shop. Speaking of shopping, we were taken through lots of small neat shops, but didn’t get a chance to stop in them. No mention of taking a train to various towns that you’ll end up paying for (around $2). Ultimately it was good, just not worth the amount charged at the end of the day.

The Guide Arthur was exceptional. He selected a great variety of food and drink; but most importantly he gave us perfect analysis of history of Singapore and its populations.
