Please insert your accommodation address in Sorrento (hotel, b&b, airbnb) in the "Special Requirements" section when booking, then call the local supplier the evening before your tour after 7PM to know your pick up time and if your pick up will be at your accommodation or nearby. If arriving by cruise ship, please insert your cruise ship name, we will meet you at 9:45 on the dock in front of the restaurant RUCCIO, our driver will show a sign.

Brilliant visit to Pompeii and Vesuvius but tour organisation was abysmal

First the good bits - the tour of Pompeii was brilliant and we had a fantastic guide (Elisa), the trip to Vesuvius National Park was also good. However, the organisation of the excursion was appalling. I would have liked to have known the pickup time and location before 7.30pm the night before. I also sent a message via Viator and Whatsapp to find out the exact location of the pickup as large coaches could not get to our hotel and picked up on the main road. They ignored both messages. The coach was late and I had to phone them (at great cost probably?) to find out where the coach was. Enzo insisted it was outside the hotel which it was not. When you pay £170+ for an excursion, you want to know you are going to be picked up. Eventually it turned up 25 minutes late ... a message to say it was running late would have been nice. We waited in town for another 20 minutes for two "no shows". After the Pompeii tour, we were given 35 minutes to eat our lunch and given a choice between pasta or pizza but told the pizza would take 30 minutes to prepare! We were told to be ready for the coach for Vesuvius at 2.30pm so didn't even have time to use the toilets. However, they did not collect us till 2.40pm and then it was a LONG walk to the coach station. After the Vesuvius visit, we waited another 20 minutes in the hot coach for four people who were late ... if they are not there at the given time, just go without them! It's not fair for everybody who is back on time. As mentioned before, Pompeii and Vesuvius were well worth seeing but this company's organisation could have been much better. P.S. Two days after the trip they answered my message about the pickup location!!

The total mismanagement of our transportation to Pompeii. The tour was supposed to start at 10 am with Sorrento pickups. We did not get to Naples until 11:30. No narration on buses , just a very long bus ride. Lots of people complaining. It took 30 minutes to find one couple signed up for the tour. We used Viator for 10 tours on a latest trip. All the others were great. This one did not live up to the same standards!

This trip was awesome!! It was so lovely to be picked up and dropped off right at our hotel. Our guide at Pompeii was excellent and so knowledgeable. The lunch was not great, but filled us up so that’s all we could ask. There was just enough time at Mt Vesuvius to hike to the top and around and the drive up the mountain was incredible. Great tour! Would have given 5 but minus a star for the food.

Pompeii guide was very good. The changing of buses was not what I paid for. Paid small group and ended up on a full bus tour. Other staff were very rude.

This tour was amazing. Our guide was Elisa and she had so much knowledge of Pompeii. She was also hilarious which made the day fun. We were served a delicious lunch, choice of pizza, gnocchi, or salad. Then hiked up Mt. Vesuvius on our own. This trip was the perfect amount of time to see everything.

Great travel company, comms via WhatsApp day before with pick up time, pick up was on time, comfortable van used throughout trip so you can leave belongings safely. Two and half hours at Vesuvius first, enough time for us but not if you want to walk completely around crater. Fabulous views across Naples and witnessed some volcanic activity (steam from rocks and sulphur smell) Then lunch at a nice restaurant for a delicious freshly made pizza with soft drink & water included. Pompeii across the road, was given ear pieces so our tour guide could be heard clearly throughout. 2 hour very informative tour with mind blowing information. Would recommend.

Reasonably steep hike but worth the view on top of Vesuvius, only one toilet available at the base café, so had to queue for a while. Pompeii guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic if a little hurried, that said Pompeii is a vast site so there's a lot to get in.

This was the best tour my husband and I took of all our weeks in italy! And amazing value. We were shocked to actually be able to touch everything in Pompeii, it felt surreal. Our guide Maria was also awesome! Great history, fun stories, we learned so much and wanted to keep exploring after the 2 hours were done. Pompeii is huge! Vesuvius was also a treat, thought the actual crater at the top wasnt what we expected its look like. But the tour was fantastic, and it was nice not to have to figure out transportation for a day since we got picked up in front of hotel and dropped off where we wanted. 10 out of 10 would go back for the same tour ,just ro see more of Pompeii

Great tour! Pompei was as incredible as I imagined it would be! We did the whole day including climbing the mountain, so I wish they would have told us we wouldn’t be with the same transport all day. Ended up having to carry around a much bigger bag than I would have brought if I had known. You do not need a jacket for the mountain, almost the same temp up there as down lower.

A fascinating and very informative tour. Wear suitable footwear when ascending Vesuvius, the terrain is gravelly and uneven, walking poles would be useful and sticks are offered to aid you. Our guide in Pompei was very passionate and knowledgable. We went in May and it was very hot, with little shade. A sun hat and plenty of water are essential for the two hour tour.

Pompeii is amazing to see but the tour pickup time and schedule was so unorganized with very little communicated to people. Our bus broke down on the way to the volcano on a warm day that wasn’t fun. The time for the climb to the rim of the volcano was way too short to actually enjoy it. The climb is tough and not worth the actual view.

Your was ok. A lot of your time was wasted waiting around after lunch for the bus to Mt Vesuvius. Could of spent the time touring the ruins longer. Lunch was ok.

Enjoyable highlight tour day

Good highlight tour of Pompeii and walk up to top of Vesuvius. Lots of interesting information about Pompeii. If you want to see everything here you need to book a longer dedicated tour. I was fairly happy with what I saw but we missed some areas due to time. There is a bit of waiting around at times and I would say the guides could reduce the amount of time spent on the intro before you get in to Pompeii so you have more time to see things. But it was still good. Vesuvius walk is on your own after drop off at the car park entrance gate. You need to be fairly fit to do the long paths to the crater view. I’m not and with stops to catch breath it took me 35 mins. There were older people with walking sticks doing it so maybe they took an hour. Stunning views of the coastline and mountains. Good views of the crater.

Tour company needs to improve customer service

I do not recommend this tour with this vendor. Some pieces were fantastic, but the issues that occurred were not handled well by the staff or vendor post event. The lunch place was terrible, late with food and no service. The entire portion post Pompei felt rushed and disorganized. Vesuvius is busy and not enough time was allotted. The park service guides recommended 80 minutes, we were given 60 due to delays at ticket check. The Pompei visit is amazing and our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. Highly recommend visiting Pompei with a different vendor.

Pompeii was exceptional and vesuvius was excellent if you are reasonably fit. Pick up and drop off. No waiting around. Lunch was delicious too.

La experiencia de ir al Vesuvio y Pompeya fue muy bonita.Lo que nos desiluciono fue la persona encargada del tour.Practicamente no hablo.Todos en la guagua estabamos perdidos.No se nos dio informacion de los alrededores mientras viajabamos.Hasta cuando fue el momento de comer nos dispersaron por distintas mesas sin explicarnos como era el proceso Al momento de regresar nos enviaron hasta solos con el conductor.Fue muy aburrido y super raro.
