Board your climate-controlled minibus and relax on the journey inland to Pompeii. Once you arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage–listed archaeological digs, skip the admission lines and head off on a tour to discover Pompeii’s highlights.
As you explore, learn about the destructive volcanic eruption of AD 79 that buried the ancient city for centuries. The ash and molten lava that streamed out of Mt. Vesuvius preserved the town remarkably, and many original landmarks can be found around the site. See the old public baths, the Macellum (market), and the Temple of Jupiter, and hear about their history from your guide.
After a break for lunch at your own expense, continue with a drive up the slopes of Mt. Vesuvius. Stretch your legs on a short hike up to the crater’s lip and learn about the infamous volcano from a mountain guide. Make use of some free time to gaze out over the Bay of Naples, then return to your transport for the drive back to Sorrento.

It is worth visiting the ruins and the walk to the rim of the crater in Vesuvius. The walk up to the crater on Vesuvius was amazing. It is advisable that visitors wear comfortable shoes and healthy to climb up the mountain.
The tour of Pompeii was very interesting and a very unique. It was amazing to be walking standing among the ruins of 2000 years ago.

We had a great time touring Pompeii, eating a great lunch, and hiking up Vesuvius. The hike was a bit hard after a full morning of walking around Pompeii. 14,000 steps for the trip!

Great tour of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. We had a great host for the day (Eugene) who was very informative of all aspects of the tour, Max our archeological tour guide gave us a great insight of Pompeii and made sure it was full of information but not so serious with a humorous side. Joseppy our coach driver got us to our destination superbly. Overall a great day out.

This tour was amazing! Lulu our tour guide included my kids in everything. Luigi the bus driver was absolutely amazing with all the sharp turns we went around I never knew a bus could fit! Max our Pompeii guide was amazing and informative.
