What To Expect

Meet your guide at your Sorrento hotel (confirm the exact time with tour provider) and drive to the port, where you board your boat with a maximum of 15 passengers and set off along the Amalfi Coast.

Cruise around the Gulf of Salerno on a comfortable boat equipped with Wi-Fi, a stereo, and first-aid. Stop to snorkel and swim at Li Galli Island, a private island inaccessible by car, before continuing to the town of Amalfi. Shop, dine, and stroll during free time in this beachside resort town.

Then, return to your boat for a tomato and mozzarella sandwich and a drink en route to Positano. Once you land, wander the steep, narrow streets of this cliffside town in search of a good view or a good espresso from one of the many sidewalk cafes; your guide can point you in the right direction.

Climb back aboard your boat and cruise back to the port. Conclude your tour at your accommodations.

We had a fabulous time, the boat ride was the best way to visit Amalfi and Positano, especially in warm weather! Paolo was a wonderful guide, friendly and professional and took great care of us! We highly recommend this tour!

Overall enjoyed the day! views are incredible, enjoyed stopping at the towns, had prosecco on our way back to sorrento and a snack. however, only downside was sitting up front in the boat was a bit uncfortable for a two hour ride to get to our first destination. the front was very bumpy and just awkward sitting. so fyi to not get stuck in front entire time! we were able to sit on the back of boat on the way back which was much more enjoyable.

From start to finish the trip was amazing! Antonio (Tony) was brilliant and went into depth with details about sites on the way to and from Amalfi and Positano. We were able to swim and jump off the boat and had soft and alcoholic beverages, my partner and I really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend and go back again! We sat at the front of the boat and lay on our towels whilst soaking up the sun and information about our destinations. We had 1 hour and 30 minutes each in both locations and managed to do and see as much as possible as well as have a swim! Fantastic experience and lovely atmosphere! Recently celebrated my 21st a few days prior, definitely the cherry on top!

We enjoyed the whole trip. Beautiful views, nice people, it was a great way to spend the day. It was just breathtaking seeing the coast from the boat. We were happy to have the a few hours in Almalfi and Positano. The cave (extra spot) was so cool.

Francesa and Guissepe were excellent tour guides on our boat tour of the Amalfi coast! We learned so much about this beautiful part of Italy! It truly was one of the highlights of our trip. I had an incredible experience on the Sorrento boat tour! The pick-up service was fantastic, totally worth it. Upon arrival, there's a cafe where you can grab espresso or drinks. The staff were organized and sweet, ensuring we had plenty of drinks and snacks onboard. The homemade limoncello at the end was exceptional. The tour was well-paced with ample time at each location. Visiting one cave was perfect, and the final swim was a delightful way to end the trip. Highly recommend!

We tried to cancel this trip prior to the 24 hour cancelation policy due to an illness but were never able to get Intouch with anyone from Viator. We were in Italy and tried the 888 number supplied on their literature. Our call kept being rejected. Tried to email with no success. Once we figured out that you needed a +39 (which is not in their literature), it was to late. We explained our situation to the Viator rep, who was very helpful and understanding. She said it was up to the company who the trip was booked with but she would explain our situation to them. We then received an email from that company with a phone number on it. Called that number several times and finally got through and explained our frustration and how many times we tried to cancel. We asked for a full refund and if not at least a partial refund...end results, no refund at all. Extremely disappointed. Plan on calling Viator direct on Monday.

Francesca and Stefano were fantastic. Tour was safe and informative. We had about an hour in each city. Snank was a bag of chips, so plan to eat a quick street food lunch at Almafi stop where it is less crowded.

What an amazing experience visiting the Amalfi Coast! From the beginning to end, everything was smooth. Pickup was punctual, the ride was comfortable. Our guide and Captain were fantastic. Constantly checking up seeing if we needed any more beverages. Giving us details of the coast and any interesting facts! The views were breathtaking. Would recommend booking this tour vs taking a ferry. The hour stop in Positano and 2 hours in Amalfi, I felt were perfect timing to see, take pictures and do a little shopping. The swimming stop was refreshing. Highly recommend 10/10. Big shoutout to our guide. He was truly so nice and attentive.

Skipper and guide excellent! Guide gave us great information about different locations, restaurants, and very friendly. He served refreshments of Prosecco and limoncello. The skipper was brilliant at navigating the docks , waves and into the green grotto. Together they even sang some opera on the way back… brilliant!!

Absolutely amazing trip! Pick up from hotel and taken to harbour to join private boat tour. 10 of us on board meant just the right number and not too crowded. Boat driver was great, very knowledgeable, enjoyed telling us stories of famous celebrities staying at/visiting different parts of the islands that we passed. We had approx 75 mins in Amalfi and 75 mins in Positano. Would have loved to stay longer in both but we loved the two stops for snorkeling and swimming also which we couldn't have done if we stayed longer. Beers, prosecco and water available on board complimentary! Stunning coast, amazing scenery and honestly the best boat trip we have been on! Highly recommended!
