The stop to the Blue Grotto is not included in the itinerary of this tour due to the long waiting time. All the guests interested to visit the Blue Grotto can do it during the free time on the island.

During winter season (from November to March) the tour lasts only 5 hours and the departure will be at 11.20 from Marina Piccola 29/31, Sorrento. Please show up at the meeting point 30 minutes before for the check in.
During winter season (from November to March) the little limoncello tasting is not available.

Cancellation Policy

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

We booked this boat trip as the price was much more reasonable than others on offer so I was dubious but this trip exceeded all our expectations. The staff were tremendously warm and helpful the captain of the boat trip around the island of Capri was entertaining too! We absolutely loved the trip and experience and would definitely recommend it.

A fantastic well organised trip to Capri. Would highly recommend. We booked this trip with a pick-up which made everything easy from beginning to end. Communication was excellent from the moment the trip was booked. Boat trip around the island was amazing and very informative. After the boat trip we were given a map and information about how we could spend our time on the island. Bus tickets and chairlift tickets can be purchased through HP travel which made the day run smoothly. The staff that spent the day with us ( Giulia, Marlena and Antonio) looked after us well. After we'd spend the day exploring, the day was rounded off with some Lemoncello and a relaxing cruise back to Piano di Sorrento. This was a memorable day that we will be talking about for years to come. Thank you.

Our guide Francesca didn't give us much direction or helpful hints or anything that would have been beneficial. We take some responsibility for maybe not researching this better before we signed up, but basically felt like we could have done as well getting a ferry to capri and booking our own boat tour around the island from there. The limoncello tastings we got at shops in Sorrento were as good as this one. Would not recommend.

It was a beautiful place to visit for the day everything was over priced ....... be prepared to walk alot ... the lemoncello tasting was a joke they gave us 2 different small samples with no explanation...... it was a very long visit with really no good explanation how to get around or see

The two women operating the tour were great and responded to my questions via WhatsApp. They were multilingual, including English, which is what I needed. It’s just a ferry ride to Capri. I was confused at first because once you are in the tour company office at the port in Capri, they give you a lot of information about the island and how to get around, and then you are on your own. However, nothing is on paper and we weren’t given a map. Don’t hesitate to hang back and ask more questions for clarity. There are two different local buses, and we opted to buy the more expensive €20 ticket, which was worth it. It had shorter lines at the bus stops and came more frequently. Since you have limited time on the island, definitely get this option. Purchase your bus ticket and any other tickets for things you want to do, inside the office. It’s the same price and you will beat the lines to buy them when you are at the actual site(s). They only accept cash, as do many places in Italy. The best gelato I’ve ever had was at Buonocore Gelateria Pasticceria Gastronomia e Tavola Calda. It’s in the luxury shopping district of Capri, next to Ferragamo. They make waffle cones in the storefront, and they are warm, crispy, and not too thick. The boat tour around the island was nice, and the guide spoke about points of interest in several languages. But it was really difficult to hear above the noise of the engine and the water. We missed 90% of it. Opting for the swim portion of the tour was the absolute highlight, especially after a day of walking around under the sun. Bring your own towel (we didn’t, but it was fine). The tour had a limited number of pool noodles, without which I would not have gone in. Thank God they did because I can’t swim but I also couldn’t resist to cool off in the clear blue waters of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The limoncello tasting is one shot of it at the tour office in Capri, and another shot after the end of the tour in Sorrento. There is a bit of a walk from where the bus drops off the group to the port in Sorrento. There was more than one person with a cane who had difficulty keeping pace. There is no special preboarding for boats or buses that I saw anywhere while on the Amalfi Coast, unfortunately. I obviously can’t speak to things I did not do i.e. Faro di Punta Carena (the lighthouse). My friend and I opted not to go since it’s on the far end of Anacapri and we wanted to give ourselves plenty of time to get back to Capri. The Monte Solar Chair Lift was fun and had beautiful views. Again get this ticket at the office, and go here first so you’re not at the top of the mountain under the hot sun. The beautiful Villa San Michele is just a short walk from the base of the chair lift/high street.

Buying the €20 bus ticket and other tickets at the office is a good tip to save time. The gelato recommendation at Buonocore Gelateria Pasticceria Gastronomia e Tavola Calda sounds delicious. The boat tour around the island was enjoyable, but it was challenging to hear the guide. Swimming was a highlight, and bringing a towel is a good idea. The limoncello tasting was a nice touch. Confusion with the pickup

The boat trip around Capri with the swimming was fantastic. I give that full marks. Unfortunately, there was confusion about the pickup area. First it was the hotel when I booked the trip Shortly after, I received an email with a pickup change. Two days before the excursion, the address was changed once again. I wasn’t aware of the third change and we had to rush to the third location by taxi costing me 34 Euros for the taxi ride. The young ladies Benedetta and Francesca were wonderful and made the trip fun for us.

Boat to Capri great service

This tour is great hut be aware it is a big boat. About 150 of us were on here and it made for a smooth ride to Capri and back. We got off the boat and split into 2 groups and my group got back on the boat with others and then did a tour around the island. It was hard to understand the guide at times but the island is beautiful. We then returned to the island and had about 6 hours on our own. We had a great experience with Marlene as she went out of her way to make sure we all had what we needed.

This tour was great. The staff from HP Travel hosting the tour were all very friendly. it was exactly how I wanted to experience Capri. I do recommend understanding transportation to and from the port. Being a tourist, challenging trying to navigate how to get to and from the port. We had no idea what to expect and it took a while to get back to our place in Sorrento. We had to keep asking people on the street where to get a taxi or the subway station.

Not worth the money but Capri is worth a visit

The views from the boat tour were good and the best part of the tour but the grottos aren't worth a visit and the other 'stops' are just from far away and not a lot of detail. It seemed like there was a lot of waiting around when we got there with our tickets and exchanged those for other tickets we had to then wait half an hour for everyone else to arrive even though we were there on time. When we got off the boat we had to queue up to get on another boat and after the tour we were brought to an office where we were told the different options of what we could do with free time. The chairlift skip the queue tickets were worth it. The hop on hop off buses weren't and we got a local bus that was much cheaper and more frequent than the office told us they were, just make sure you buy a ticket first. The staff were very friendly and helpful arranging a transfer for us when we got back to Sorrento as this trip is really far away from the main marinas and taxis are too expensive. However the limoncello tasting did not happen. We asked when we would receive the limoncello and were told it would be when we returned to the office before leaving Capri. We got there on time but no luck, not sure if other people had already been given some before we arrived but there was too many people on the tour for us to wait inside.

Great excursion and well coordinated . Enjoyed the different town options in Capri and the water experience seeing the beauty of the island . Only suggestion would be to include the Capri Blue bus tickets as an upfront option when you book the tour . Other suggestion would be to explain the morning meeting location clearly in the excursion description to understand the distance from Sorrento Piazza. Taxi’s are quite expensive over to this area/port . Overall , we would do it again . Great value !
