Overview

Cycle around Stockholm's central islands during this 3-hour guided sightseeing tour on a bike. What To Expect

Make your way to our shop at Kungsbro Strand 21 in central Stockholm to meet your guide and tour group. After a short safety briefing and orientation, don your helmet, climb on your provided bike, and set off through the 'Venice of the North'.

This bike-friendly city lends itself well to two-wheeled exploration; there are many hidden gems that get passed over by tourists in buses and cars. During your 3-hour tour, you'll head into Gamla Stan (Old Town) to see its medieval squares and North German-style architecture. Your guide will lead you past many must-see sights, including the impressive Kungliga Slottet (the Royal Palace), Swedish Parliament and stately Royal Dramatic Theatre.

Enjoy commentary from your guide about the city’s past and how its history has influenced the way it looks today. Cycle down quiet, tree-lined streets filled with blocks of houses dating from the 1600s. Venture to some of Stockholm's prettiest central islands to ride along the verdant shores and enjoy spectacular views of the city skyline.

End your tour back at its starting point at Kungsbro Strand 21

Children must be at least 12 years old to join the tour. Please note that the minimum height overrules the age (we do not have children bikes).
Minimum height: 1.45 m.
This tour needs a minimum of 2 persons booked on to operate, if the minimum number is not reached you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
The tour will take place in all weather conditions unless your guide deems it unsafe to do so. Please dress appropriately.
CHECK IN time is 15 minutes prior to tour departure. Arriving at departure time or afterwards will likely result in you missing your tour.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 14 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

The bike ride with our friendly guide Stephen included some stops with insight into the history and tips on where else to visit. The bikes were very nice and comfortable. We stopped for a Fika break in a lovely spot. I enjoyed this with my husband and three teenage children. I highly recommend this experience to get out and learn more about Stockholm.

Overall good, but leaves more to be desired

Exploring Stockholm on a bike is definitely a good choice. It would be really hard to see some of the areas on foot and we went to some interesting places. This particular tour leaves a bit more to be desired: i) the pace was a little slow (i.e. the stops were a little too long) ii) I personally did not find our tour guide to be very engaging - her style of storytelling is not my cup of tea iii) the group size was perhaps a little too big (I think it was >10) - makes it a bit hard to travel as a pack and regroup at each stop.

Lucas from Brazil was fantastic! He made everything interesting and let anticipation build. The pace was comfortable with enough actual riding in the forested area to feel like we’re in nature and not just on an informational tour. His explanations were clear, informative and interesting. I’ve been on many bike tours on three continents and his was the best. My daughter who was also on the tour felt the same way.
