Kangaroos and wombats galore - fabulous experience

Great tour guide and a ton of sightings of wombats, kangaroos and little joeys. Beautiful scenery including stunning Waterfalls and had typical Aussie pies for lunch - delicious! Long day but worth every minute! I would highly recommend or risk missing out on the most wonderful experience!

I brought my parents on this tour, and it was possibly our favourite experience in Sydney. Dave is super knowledgeable -- we were amazed by his ability to spot and identify wildlife from a distance, even while driving or at dusk. So often he'd say "look! A wombat!" Or "kangaroos!" when we thought it was just rocks, but he was always right. This picture is of him walking ahead of us to spot wombats. Dave is also dedicated to making sure everyone has a good time -- all 12 of us on the bus felt like good friends after the tour, and Dave spent one on one time with each person to make them feel welcome. Dave also took really good pictures of us up close with wombats, taking multiple rounds to make sure we were happy with the photos. Most of all, Dave was very kind and considerate towards my mum, who has difficulty walking (she uses a walking stick) -- he told her the exact number and type of steps to expect at each stop, and drove her around wherever possible so she could feel part of the tour without having to walk so much. This was a great day. Beautiful views, beautiful waterfalls, and Dave who took such great care of us. From snacks and water in the van to a cold beer after our little hike. The cute little wombats were a great end to the day. I have Dave a hard time all day adding and taking away stars, but he took the ribbing well. If you’re iffy about doing this tour do it.

This was an excellent tour. Dave took us out of the city to two national parks with gorgeous waterfalls and views. We ended tge day in Kangaroo valley where he BBQ 'd for us and then we went 'hunting' for Kangaroo and Wombats. We were not disappointed! We loved this outing!

This was a very fun experience! It was pretty cloudy and rainy for my tour but Dave made sure we still had a great time! The pickup locations were easy to get to and the van was nice and super clear! Dave had lots of different snacks and even had portable chargers for all phone options! The lookout points were amazing and so so beautiful even in the rain! Both food stops were excellent! The pie shop was delicious and a fun little treat, it was nice that there were snacks to have since it was a bit of a later lunch, which Dave did warn about. The wombats and kangaroos were so cool! It was awesome to be able to see them in the wild and not in a zoo! Dave was super knowledgeable about them and had lots of fun facts and information to share!

This was a brilliant tour where we saw so much . We visited some fantastic sights and saw scenery that only a great tour guide can deliver. The highlight was being taken to see the Wombats and Kangaroos where we were able to safely get very close to them. Dave who runs the trip is a really caring man who goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone has a great time. Everything is provided from drinks snacks , pies a a great meal in the Friendly Inn. We had a brilliant time and our thanks to Dave who is the real star of the show. Highly recommended.

Dave was a fabulous guide. He knew all the places to go for whichever creatures we were looking for. We saw Kangaroos and wombats, but also wallabys, kookaburras and flying foxes/fruit bats. Definitely recommend!

Wombats, wombats, wonbats! Up close and personal! Dave was very knowledgable! We even learned some Australian slang! Our stop at Robertson's meat pies was memorable! Dinner was delicious, we had the kangaroo burgers. We can't think of anything that would make this a more memorable experience! Thanks Dave!

We are veteran travelers and frequent Viator users. This tour was absolutely everything promised and more. If I took ANY tour in Sydney I would want it to be with our guide, Dave. The stops at ocean overlooks and the waterfalls were magnificent. Robertson Pies was great fun and yummy. Dave prepared a delicious sunset barbecue meal is a beautiful setting. But, the highlight was encountering literally dozens of kangaroos and wombats in their natural habitat. A well equipped bus and extremely attentive and funny guide. Highly recommend!

Awesome day trip out to to see some kangaroos and wombats, mostly, but also a lot of other native Australian wildlife as well. Dave was an enjoyable guide and knowledgeable with his flora and fauna, as well as providing delicious meals throughout to ensure you don’t pass out from hunger. If you have the time in your schedule to go on this excursion, I’d recommend it.
