Go off the beaten path literally on this half-day, guided, ATV excursion. Learn about your four-wheeler and how to drive from your guide and then drive into the forest near Tamarindo. Pass through tropical rainforest seeing vegetation, monkeys, and iguana and ascend the trail to take in panoramic views from the top of the mountain. Cool off with a swims at hidden gems: Playa Minas and Playa Pirata.

Frankly I was disappointed as I didn't think it fit the way it was advertised. I was hoping to see some monkeys and wild life. We saw almost no wild life. We drove about 20 miles of rough gravel roads and saw 3 beaches. Not much I couldn't have done at home.

Boolked this for a Sunday, and for some reason I was the only one on the tour. Which was good for me! Roberto was the guide and he was excellent. I had fun "bull riding"on the bumpy roads. The advertising photo is misleading, however, because it shows ATVs on a beach. You cannot ride them on beaches in Costa Rica, because turtles rule!
The directions to get to the meeting point were unclear and linkup didn't go as smoothly as it should have. Plus, tour was supposed to include pickup at hotel, but I stayed at JW Marriott and it is isolated from Tamarindo..

NOTICE: The picture on the website and the description are misleading. You are not going to ATV on a beach. You are going to take a dusty road to three beaches that you can drive to in your car. You are going to be hit up to buy drinks and food at the first two stops.
On the positive side, the staff were very nice and the ATVs are new and well maintained.

We had a great time with Roberto as our guide. The beaches were gorgeous and there was a lot of variation between each one. We saw a snake and trees full of Howler Monkeys along the way. I highly recommend this tour!

Really enjoyed visiting the beaches, particularly the smaller, lesser known ones. Also enjoyed traveling between the beaches and the local neighborhoods.

Our group of 8, all had a great time riding through rainforest and stopping at the beautiful beaches! We went swimming in the warm water and it was amazing. The BBQ chicken kabob was so delicious at the local beach stand on one of the stops. Jason, our tour leader was so nice and professional!

We had an excellent tour and our tour group leader Mike was awesome! He was very accommodating, pleasant and helpful. He was also very safety minded. We enjoyed the tour route going down dirt roads thru the country with 3 secluded beaches along the way. We have a 4 wheeler but I have very rarely rode it. I was skeptical at first not knowing what terrain to expect but it was no problem for me on the tour. I would recommend this tour if you want to have a little adventure and fun. We got some rain during part of our trip but it was all good. We went to Puerto Viejo beach, Pirate beach and one other. They picked us up at our resort in Flamingo. The ATV's were well maintained and safe. The staff was great.
