    Not worth it for 2 people, just use Google Maps instead

    This trip was way over-priced with very little value add from the guide. We could have done this on our own just with Google Maps since the whole time we used public transit and our guide hadn’t mapped out an efficient route/timing with the schedule of trains and buses. He just winged it. Although nice enough, he was not prepared so kept having to check bus stop signs and ask for directions at the tourist center information counter. Wasn’t the “local” guide with insight we were hoping for. We only got to 2 sites, not 3-4 as advertised even though it was an 11 hour day. Disappointing.

    Thank you for your review. On the day of your tour, there was a large festival and fireworks show, which had not been held in 4 years due to the restrictions on large group activities over the past few years. Your guide was asking at the tourist information centers to check for any changes to transport/activities that were happening due to the festival. We contacted you regarding reimbursement for this tour, but did not receive any reply from you. We hope that you were able to enjoy the rest of your time in Japan. JGA Customer Supprt

    From the moment our guide, Seizo, met us at our hotel, the day was planned smoothly and crammed in heaps! From train trips to lunch location, Seizo was organised as he led us around the lake, via bus, up the Ropeway, and to the 5 storey pagoda, all the while with Mt Fuji watching over us. It was a great day and I would recommend both the trip, and Seizo as guide.
