A must if there is not enough time

Our guide was very very gentle. He understood that we traveled with elders and did not rush us at all. There was a lot of traffic due to it being a weekend. The drive was beautiful and he was informative. We could not cover all the destinations but still managed to see enough and the most important ones.

We really enjoyed our day trip (which definitely takes the full 10 hours) to the Hakone region. Even though it was cloudy and we couldn't see Mt Fuji, the setting is so beautiful that it doesn't really matter. The lakes and mountains are beautiful and there are so many beautiful gardens. Our favorite part of the tour was the Hakone Open Air museum, which was excellent. Looking forward to doing another tour on our next trip.

Fun but more taxi than guided

A nice tour with beautiful nature. But the guide was bad. He never said a thing and didn’t explain anything about the area or the things you see. “A tour of hakone with personal taxi driver” would be a more appropriate title for this tour. It should also be noted that actually going up to fuji will be optional and come at the cost of skipping other parts of the tour. Also the ticket to go up to fuji will cost around ¥3000 per person. And the boat tour will be ¥1700, witch you have to pay for as part of the tour.

Be aware of this tour company. We had probably the most unguided tour of this private tour to Mt. Fuji and Hakone. We started out at Hakone …there we got zero information about the Shrine , the history , every time we asked he would show us some google search on his phone. Our guide spent a lot of time also talking about himself. we couldn’t believe it. We knew early on that this tour was going to be a bad one.. well..it gets worse. After dropping us off to ride the cable car and instructed us to meet him at 2:00 at the bottom , we had no clue what we were seeing. the black egg , the history of the place or anything. we then meet him at 2:00 and I ask when do we see Mt. Fuji? his reply is that isn’t part of your itinerary. what? Our family was shocked. We paid for a tour to Mt. Fuji and Hakone only getting Hakone ? After much discussion and him having to call his manager , he took us there. He was a very good driver which is all I will give him. But this tour was a bust. Don’t book this !! try another company!

Fuji and took you to visit Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba (Traditional Japanese Village) these places were not in the itinerary and we tried our best to make this a memorable experience for you. I spoke to you after finishing the tour you said the tour was great and you were very happy. The tour you booked was “Full-Day Hakone and Mt. Fuji Tour with Bilingual driver” and it was not a guided tour. We do have guided tour with extra charges. Our drivers can give you an overview of the attraction but they are not a guide. May be you had a different perception of the tour and our tour may not have met your expectation. When you took a tour next time please book a guided tour so you can get detailed information. Due to the rainy weather, Mes gave us option to go to Hakone or get closer to Mt. Fuji area. We opted for the latter. Albeit it damp, not pouring and comfortable (not hot) weather, we enjoyed Lake Kawaguchi cruise, sky tram to mountain and visit to old refurbished village. Overall a good trip to the countryside. We will have to come back to see Mt. Fuji when the sun it out.

Our tour guide and driver Maz, was really nice and helpful. He was polite and on-time. The company is also very responsive to questions. Our driver is also our guide, and cannot join us throughout each attraction. He just gave us instructions prior to entering and on the way to each attraction. But I knew that already prior to booking this trip so I still have them 5stars. The van is good size, not luxury vehicle but clean. They will modify the stops based on your preferences and they are very accommodating.

This tour is misleading as you only get a glimpse of Mt Fuji! Too many extra costs to do things along the way. Our driver was excellent. When he realised that we really only wanted to see Mt Fuji he phoned his manager and told him of our desire to see Mt Fuji . After some discussion he very kindly got our driver to alter the day’s itinerary and he took us to Mt Fuji to the best possible sighting. He then took us to the ropeway/ cable car to get another viewing of the Mountain. He dropped us off at a local Japanese restaurant near the ropeway and we had a fabulous traditional meal. All in all it was a wonderful outing made possible by a flexible manager and driver who saw what our needs were. Very much appreciated and 4 happy travellers👌 Bottom line is check what the excursion is actuality offering, as one cannot ask questions when booking because you are relying on what is advertised.

Nice tour of Hakone

The tour was mostly done in Hakone - visiting the temple, Lake Ashi, riding the pirate ship, the rope way and the gardens. What was disappointing was we never really got a great view or picture of Mt Fuji although the title of the tour said Mt Fuji tour. We didn’t get any closer other than a view from the lake and a quick peek from the ropeway. My rating was average because it didn’t meet 100% of our expectations. Our tour guide, Zee, was excellent. He spoke clearly and gave us descriptions and history of the places we visited.

Tour is not named appropriately. Mt Fuji very far away. So you just glimpse it. Should be named lake Ashi/Hakone Bay tour. Our driver Maz was great.

We had a wonderful trip to Mount Fuji on a gorgeous sunny day with Cherry Blossoms in Bloom. Our guide discussed the agenda for the day and made sure everyone was in agreement. Our favorite part was seeing Mount Fuji through the Cherry trees.
