The dense Aokigahara Forest lies at the northwestern base of Mount Fuji, the iconic, near-symmetrical cone-shaped mountain that rises in eastern Japan. It's also the second-most popular destination for people intent on dying by suicide. Nevertheless, the forest is a peaceful place to hike and enjoy nature.
A great experience! Our tour guide Takashi-san, is very nice, fun and informative :) Aokigahara forest is a very beautiful landscape that Japan preserved really well.
The highest peak is a so great company. He speak so good english and he know so much. I will climb on the fuji and then i take him to! It was so great. Thank you so much
Our tour guide, Toshi, was super knowledgeable about the forest and a very interesting person. The whole hike felt like talking to a friend. Super enjoyable experience!
The flowers and fauna were beautiful. The dead plants and trees from the volcano were replaced by another set of plants and trees. The cave has a massive drop in temperature. In the cave, There were evidence of people who stayed down there. The guide was very informative from start to end. As a solo traveler, it was nice meeting other people.
Loved the experience! Our daughter is 12 and she was so excited throughout the entire excursion. Our tour guide's name I think was Toshi, he did an amazing job. He even picked our family up from the hotel we were staying in and dropped us off at the Kawaguchiko station as we were off to our next destination. Highly recommend this excursion to anyone.
Toshi was our tour guide to the Ice Cave. We were late and he was able to fit us into the afternoon tour. We had a fun time exploring the Aokigahara Forest and Ice Cave.
This was an incredibly unique Japan Experience. Tada was a most excellent Guide. Picked up us at the meeting location exactly on time, drove us to the Forest where we geared up and hiked into the dense forest and cave entrance. Tada provided excellent history and information about the Forest and the Caves. If you have a chance to do this activity don't hesitate. It truly was one of the of most memorable parts of our trip. Note: Participants should be in relatively good health, and able to hike into the Forest and climb into the Cave down a ladder, and up the ladder to get out. Wearing appropriate footwear and clothing is a must. The Cave is Cold and there is Ice in the depths of the Cave even in the Summer and Fall months. Again we HIGHLY recommend this tour and Tada! We are looking to return and have Tada Guide us up to the Summit of Mount Fuji on a later trip! Thank you Tada for the wonderful Experience!
