East Bali Tour. Fantastic Experience.

Booked this trip last minute when we had arrived at our hotel. Booked for the next day that afternoon. Fantastic that we were able to “live chat” with a real person (Maria Garcia from Viator) with whom I could confirm, the trip itinerary, pick up location (at our out of the way hotel) and price. Payment link sent. Transaction done. Easy. Contacted by the tour guide/driver (Made. Pronounced “Maddie” )later that evening by text (What’s App) and he also called to tell us, as it was just us on this tour,we could start an hour later (5am instead of 4am. Great news!), as there were no other pick ups for him to make. Made was there at hour hotel lobby by 4.45am. A lovely,polite and smiling man helping to make my wife & I very relaxed. Lovely clean mini van with A/C and supplied bottled water. And what a great first day of experiencing Bali for us. Firstly, Lempuyang Temple and the “Gate of Heaven”. Getting there early ensures that you get a numbered ticket (ours was No.37), so you don’t have to wait long to get your iconic photos at the “Gate”. Then on to The Water Palace. (Tirta Gangga) Made took some stunning photos of us there. Then a quick stop off for a coffee/tea taster before ending up at the Sleeping Gajah,at a stunning resort. Fantastic included lunch and the chance to have a swim and experience the stunning grounds. Made was a safe & very experienced tour guide & driver and gave us an informative history of Bali throughout the day.

Great (early) day with Bagus

We had an incredible experience with Bagus! He was waiting for us right on time at 03:30AM with a smile and was accommodating and friendly straight off the bat. The tour itself was a lot of fun, but make sure to start early to beat the crowds and waiting lines, which get huge, but thanks to Bagus’ planning we were number 9 in line. He is an incredible photographer, so you’re guaranteed to get gorgeous pictures! Bagus’ English fluency was excellent as well, and he made conversations enjoyable with his relaxed and fun demeanour. Bagus also shared fascinating insights throughout the tour and was very knowledgable about all questions we fired at him. We highly recommend this tour group and Bagus as a guide/driver!

Amazing Driver Vendi and Beautiful Temples and Sites

Lempuyang (Gates of Heaven), Sleeping Gajah, and Tirta Ganga in Bali are all beautiful and in great locations. They are very organized at the Gates of Heaven and took very nice photos. The lunch area afterwards was very accommodating with a great view. Our driver Vendi was amazing and spoke great English. He taught us a lot about Bali architecture and traditions and got us to all of our destinations safely. He also took very nice pictures and videos for us in all places and was prepared with umbrellas and water if we needed. An amazing and well educated driver!

Thanks to our tourguide Vendi we both have had a great experience while on the tour. Definitely come to Lempuyang Temple early to avoid the wait for getting photos taken. The shots were worth it.

A well worth early start

A well worth very early start to beat the long queue. Neuman our tour guide was very nice and helpful, he even took us to see a traditional Balinese house which wasn't on the itinerary. The water palace is gorgeous and I love that every tour guide also acts as a personal photographer so you're sure to get a lot of great photos at each stop. Lunch at the sleeping Gajah was also very nice and the staff there went above and beyond to make us happy.

Komang Godoh was our driver during this trip. He was on time, the car was clean, he did not rush us, drove safely and made us feel very comfortable. The driver makes the trip enjoyable and stress free, and can make or break the trip. I highly recommend pak komang godoh and travellers should consider asking for him to be their driver when they make their booking. Sleeping Gajah is an excellent place and is well worth the visit to enjoy the great food and the pool.

Amazing cites, pictures and culture

Not only did I get to enjoy the beautiful scenery or East Bali, but I got to learn so along the way. Nyoman J took care of making sure everything went smoothly, acted as my personal photographer, and provided insights about the cites and Balinese culture. It was amazing experience.

Highly recommended tour of East Bali

We had a blast exploring East Bali with our driver/guide/photographer Nyoman. He picked us up at 3:45am to make sure we got to the Heaven’s Gate temple in a plenty of time to be one of the first people in line to take pictures. We arrived before it opened at 6am and Nyoman got our number. We only waited about 30 min to have our pictures taken by the local photographers using our own phone. The pictures were almost a studio quality. After the Heaven’s gate temple, we went to the Water Palace, another beautiful place where Nyoman took a lot of pictures and videos of us, and we got to feed koi fish. And the last part of our tour was lunch at the Sleeping Gajah restaurant, where the food was great and the service was outstanding. We got to use the local resort’s pool and then Nyoman took us back to the hotel. Driving Balinese roads is a special skill and Nyoman navigated them exceptionally well. It was an amazing experience and I cannot recommend it enough!

I had a great time with my tour. Wayan contacted me in advance to organise an early start so we avoided most of the crowd at the temple. He's a local full of knowleadge and we also had a good chat along the way on history, culture and the local industries. He's always patient and gave good advice on where/how to take good pictures. The whole trip was a great experience and a must do. Gusti our driver/tour guide was amazing , very knowledgable , friendly and patient. We were picked-up from our hotel early in the morning to see the wonderful sunrise view of Lempuyang Temple, visited the beautiful Tirta Gangga water palace and enjoyed lunch at the Sleeping Gajah.

Even if the tour started early, it was definitely worth it. Our driver/tour guide was on time, had been communicating 1 day prior, and is very knowledgeable. He took care of us the entire trip. From fish food to lunch to taking photos. This tour is a must try! Dont forget tp bring ur hats and put on sunblock cuz bali heat and humidity is crazy!

Our guide took us to the top places were wanted to see. First was Gateway to Heaven, a temple in northeast part of Bali. We left the hotel at 4:00 AM and drove for 2.5 hours to get in line for the picture taking, but it was all worth it. A very spiritual place.

Excellent excursion! Best driver in the event town! He email us a day before picking us up confirming pick up time! He was on time! We arrive at the gates of Heaven we were number 12! Our driver took plenty of pictures of us! No long wait like others! This is the tour company you want to use and our driver you want as well! He spoke and could understand English!
