Dear Pam, we're all very sorry about your review. We always work very hard with great passion to give happy experiences to our clients, so this time we're very very sad. What I can answer is that the tour is well explained to us in what it offers and what not. So, as anyone can read in the sectin of the inclusions, we specified also: "what is not included". And this is not a 1 day guided tour, simply: it isn't.
We called instead an "experience", that is a package made of:
1. a wide (as you wrote) live private introduction to the Palladian Heritage (that to us is the more valuable part of the package, allowing the visitor to appreciate later the cultural attractions of our city).
2. The logistic information about the visits of the day.
3. The tickets to all the attractions of the city center
4. The ticket to Villa La Rotonda. In case the visitor arrives between tuesday and thursday La Rotonda in closed to public, so it becomes a PRIVATE visit, that only us can offer (our president is the owner of Villa La Rotonda).
5. The usage of the Palladian E-Bike (a luxury one, € 3K€ to the public) to reach Villa La Rotonda, but also being able to use it all along the day (consider that only this rental + the entrance ticket cost what the visitor normally pays, without the rest)
6. A map
7. A final palladian surprise (a small present of the value of 5 € only itself)
8. All the assistance the visitor need along the whole day.
We're sorry, but we are people in love with freedom, so don't like very much groups.
This is the best complete package we have thought to offer the best of our city, at a reasonable price, and we are happy to see that the formula we've chosen is usually very appreciated (see the other reviews).
So, we're very sorry that you expected somethibng else, but a private guided visit along the whole day (that we offer anyway when required) has obviously another price.
What we are more disappointed anyway is that we couldn't have the chance to understand that you weren't happy.. Yes, you didn't come back for the present, you didn't want the E-Bike, but at the end of the introduction you told me that you liked it... For sure, I would have done something, for 2 reasons: on first we're used to 5* and not 1* reviews. But moreover, the real defeat and sorry is not having been able to leave you satisfied at the end of your experience. That's the real reason why we do this job, just trasmitting the values of our heritage in a way that could be inspiring and enriching. And any of our clients should finish the day being happy. This time, indipendently by all our efferts, we couldn't attend our mission. That has been my and our real concern having read you.
Unfortunately, even if I still can't accept it, you can't win them all :( Very very sorry about your experience
