What To Expect

Your Segway tour of Vienna will begin in the city’s Museum Quarter, where you’ll meet your local guide. Run through a brief safety overview before hitting the streets to explore.

Morning or Afternoon TourGlide along the tree-lined Ringstrasse past impressive palaces and through pretty parks. Admire Hofburg Palace, the Rathaus and the golden Mozart statue in Stadtpark, and ride along the narrow lanes of Vienna's old town. You'll be delighted by the atmosphere of Imperial Vienna as your guide offers commentary about the sights you see. This day tour provides an excellent overview of Vienna's must-see sights, history and beauty. Your tour ends back at the Museum Quarter, the perfect place to continue sightseeing on your own. Evening TourWitness the city come alive on the evening Segway tour. This tour is less about checking off the sights and more about immersing yourself in the beauty of the Austrian capital as the day turns to night. Watch a sunset bathe the city in a warm golden light (depending on the time of year), and marvel at magnificent buildings, monuments and landmarks lighting up against the evening sky. Learn about the sights you see from your guide, and travel back in time 150 years to imagine how Vienna must have looked for the Habsburgs during their evening carriage rides. The Segway is not appropriate for those weighing more than 250 pounds (114 kg).
Please be aware that according to the manufacturer’s specification and Austrian law the following restrictions apply for Segways:
Minimum age: 12 years

Near public transportation
Minimum height: 150 cm
Body weight: between 45 kg and 120 kg
Therefore people who fall below or exceed these limits cannot participate in Segway Tours. Exclusion from a booked tour on account of the restrictions does not qualify for a refund.
Not recommended for travelers with back problems
No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 10 travelers

Cancellation Policy

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Segway tour of Vienna

Unfortunately it was pouring with rain and we got very cold despite having wet weather clothing sobit slightly coloured our enjoyment. But despite thst the tour was great and Natalie was very informative. We'd definitely recommend it to others

Great trip and our guide was really knowledgeable. 3 hours on a segway is a really long time though, and 2 probably would have been enough.

Amazing experience with Pedro who looked after us. A family of three and another couple, with me, made a group of six. Tour started promptly and it was fabulous value for money. A great way to have fun and see the sights of Vienna whilst learning about the Capitals history. Every city should have this type of experience available.

Marco was a fantastic guide showing us great parts of the city we would never have seen otherwise. These are super easy to use so for those that are concerned that you are not going to be able to be a quick learner, don't. Anyone can do this! Really a great activity to switch up the walking part of our trip and really enabled us to see perhaps places we would go back to if we had more time (the Barge, the Village and so on)

As this was a mixed group, the guide had to narrate in German and English. This detracted from the experience. Would be better to have all English, German groups. Otherwise good fun!

A fun and interesting morning

We were a group of five, four German speakers and me, the only English speaker. But Horst Harrer, the guide, was very inclusive of everyone in the group. He was a careful guide, was full of funny stories and knowledge. It was a great introduction to Vienna. I had a great morning and was really sorry it was over. I highly recommend this tour and this tour guide.

A real disappointment.

Guide was late, wevhad reserved 4 scooters they had only 2 and 2 bikes. Very broken up. One scooter fell and it did not eork any more the tour was cut short and webwere billed 1000 crowns. I eish I could include fotos so that other turists can choose another company to do business with. We saw others with beautiful scooters that workef!!!

Could you please provide the date of tour and the time of tour in order to check if you were participating in one of our tours. It is also out of question that our company would ever mix f.e. The segways were so fun to ride that I missed some of the tour. They are much faster than I expected but definitely fun to ride once you get the hang of it. The tour guide was awesome, had a great personality and sense of humor and knew a lot about the city's history. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our tour guide but he was not very attentive to the group. He would zoom ahead of the group of us and some people were having trouble with their Segways. At least 5 people crashed on their Segways. We asked him to slow down and we don't think he really understood us. He kept saying that they all go the same speed. But, trying to catch up with him required us going as fast as we could which in turn caused the Segway's to push back on us since we were having to max-out the speed on them. This in turn pushed people off of their Segway's. One teen-aged girl crashed twice and was scared to get back on it. We did see plenty of beautiful things but were more worried about keeping up with our tour guide to enjoy the trip.
