Learning while eating Polish food

My husband and I and our 3 adult kids (ages 19 to 26) took this private food walking tour. We tasted some amazing Polish food and drink and learned about Polish culture, history, and lifestyle from our excellent guide, Malina.

The guide was not really prepared to share any story, the tasting spots were ok, but not very special or memorable, except one. Malina, the guide, was nice and friendly. Somehow we had a feeling what the price and the experience were not really matching.

This was a wonderful experience. Our guide Malina was friendly and very informative. As we snacked our way around Warsaw trying a nice variety of delicious local foods, she also shared some local history and helped orient us to the area. We did this on our first day in Warsaw and that was a terrific decision. We were full and happy by the end of the tour. One nice benefit of this private tour is that she customized our stops to suit our preferences and also was able to act as translator with a few locals that we otherwise would have had a very difficult time communicating with. Malina is a delight. Highly Recommend!!!

We always do a food tour when visiting new places and this certainly did not disappoint - Nona was an excellent guide and very informative. We did this tour on our last night in Warsaw - mistake - we should have done this tour on the first night so we had a better understanding on what to eat and where to eat throughout our stay. We actually stayed and had more vodka after the tour finished. Highly recommend this tour. Just don’t eat before the tour as you will get a lot to eat and drink.

Our tasting tour with Mona was superb! Meeting was easy and the food was fabulous. It was a nice mix of small portions of the everyday foods of Warsaw. I can say we had the best rugalach and pierogies we've had anywhere as part of this tour. Very good presentation of city history as well and descriptions of the neighborhoods we were in. Beyond just the food and tour we had delightful conversations with Mona about food and travels and history in general. Definitely a good starting point for any visit to Warszawa!

Excellent tour. Mona was full of information and a pleasure to tour with. She shared personal stories that related well to the food we tasted. Experiencing the local food was what we were most excited about for our trip to Poland. This was a great experience and we tried a variety of the local cuisine. Everything was delicious and our guide, Mona, was wonderful. In between stops, she shared more about Polish history, life living in Warsaw, and stories from her own life. We enjoyed visiting a milk bar and riding the tram. We highly recommend this experience.

This was a great little food tour of Warsaw! Mona was a great guide, she fed us things from around town to get a sampling of Warsaw food and provided fascinating stories and background on the food, the restaurants, the neighborhoods and other points of interest. She's knowledgeable about Warsaw's history and current events and was able to answer all our questions. Mona is very nice and I just saw she does other tours of Warsaw which I'm looking forward to booking if I ever make it out back this way again. Highly recommended!
