The Loxahatchee River is a National Wild and Scenic River in Florida, but the stretch is more than seven miles (11 kilometers) long, and if you don’t know which way to go, it could get confusing. This Loxahatchee River Kayak Tour lets you cruise the river with a guide and a group in a kayak. Keep an eye out for animals hidden in the beautiful Cypress tree forest along the route.

A:There is a possibility you will see a gator or two! Paddlers have been exploring this part of the river for many years without any "incidents." Don't bother them, they won't bother you. As with any wild animals--never feed wildlife!

It was a beatiful experience. We saw the nostrils of a river otter, baby alligators, turtles, birds and even a manatee. Richard was an excellent guide. I totally recommend this tour !!

This tour was a highlight of our stay! Our kids 13 and 18 loved it!!! Our tour guide Richard was extremely knowledgable and helpful. He spent the first 10 minutes working with the kids to make sure they were comfortable navigating around in individual kayaks. The tour was scenic and beautiful and we highly recommend it!

It was really nice seeing the wildlife (ospreys, turtles, cypress trees) very naturally. Beautiful waterways and the kayaking itself was chill.

We were looking for something outdoors to do, and Wild and Scenic Kayaking seemed like a great choice.. our Instructor Richard was very knowledgeable about the river’s terrain, wildlife locations and behaviors, taught us a lot about the river ecosystem and even plants and trees native to the river, all while paddling forwards and backwards! In all our trip downstream then upstream was a good workout and we would definitely recommend this adventure!

This trip was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever experienced here in
Florida. Our tour guide, Candice was SO PLEASANT and extremely knowledgeable about the river. Her keen sight was able to point out gators, baby gators, mullets, turtles and EVEN A BABY OTTER!!!!!! The nature that surrounded us was incredible and paddling through the Cyprus trees was breathtaking!!!!
Candice kept us informed about all the things we
saw with great information and she did EVERYTHING she could to make our trip the BEST!!!!! I suggest that you go soon...with the summer coming and the lack of rain we have had, the water level is so low.
We all need to PRAY for more rain ASAP. This wildlife is experiencing the effects of this drought badly!!! BIG thank you to Candice and her shore coordinator Shawn for a kayaking trip of a lifetime!!!
