Beautiful area
Marsha_A, Apr 2024
Aurnie showed us some special spots on this beautiful peninsula. The attraction is the beauty of the scenery. Rock formation, the coastline, black beach and the extinct caldera were highlights. Great tour
West Coast scenery
David_C, Apr 2024
We took 3 day tours while here in Iceland and this was our favorite...our tour guide Thora was awesome!!! This tour included lots of stops that are not as famous or commercialized as some of our other tours but the scenery of the west coast took our breaths away!!! Highly recommended!!!
Small group Iceland excursion

Normally I wouldn’t book a coach trip but as I had onto a few days to experience this wonderful country I thought that the best way would be to use a local company for their knowledge and to see as many places as possible in the short time there. I wasn’t disappointed in what I saw but what is frustrating is that you are on someone else’s schedule and didn’t spent long enough time in some places and too long in others imo. The coach driver was friendly but wasn’t very talkative and I think we did miss out on some of that local knowledge. Despite this I would recommend a small coach/ party instead of a large one. Yes it’s costly but you aren’t navigating 59 other people and only a group of 17/18.
Gonna be great if not heavy now

First of all thank you our guide that waiting us at the beginning of the day. We missed out meeting point because I didn’t notice message that sent a day before trip to pick up at bus stop instead of hotel that was chosen in Viator app. It will be better if inform us in advance since we booked. And weather was not that good since snowy cloudy sky, we couldn’t see Kirkjufell hiding under mass cloudy and at this stop guide didn’t come down from a van to lead us. The rest was good he skip the crater because of safety and led us to the safe place to visit.
Some parts were beautiful but it was the coldest I’ve ever been in my life!
Stacey_W, Mar 2024
The beach where we got out was extremely cold and there was a rather dangerous trek to the bottom due to the snow and ice. But the overcast snowy gloominess was very beautiful and made for some perfect photos. The tour, honestly, probably should have been canceled and refunded because the snow was so bad we couldn’t even see many of the sights we were supposed to see. The tour guide seemed knowledgeable but he kind of started the tour on a sour note because he was complaining about some of the tour participants who were confused about where they were to be picked up so we just had to wait a few minutes for them. Out of 4 tours we did this week we also had some confusion on pickup locations on 3 of them so I could relate.
Worth the trip.

Gil was a knowledgable and humorous guide. He took good care of us. The beaches and coastline were interesting.
Great tour

This is a very organized tour. Our tour guide is very knowledgeable. The tour takes about 11 hours but we enjoyed the trip for the whole time and did not feel tired at all.
Great Day seeing Snaefellsnes
Loring_M, Mar 2024
Very fast and enjoyable day exploring Snaefellsnes. I would highly recommend getting out of Reykjavik by taking a one or two day small group tour.
Breathtaking experience

Such a wonderful day. My daughter and I saw sights we shall never forget. Tour guide was brilliant too. Long day, 12 hours in all but so worth it.
It could’ve been a awesome day…
sam_y, Feb 2024
It could’ve been a super dreamy and awesome day, but unfortunately due to our guide Gudni it was just a “okay” day. He unfortunately didn’t managed to create a nice and pleasant atmosphere whit-in the bus and between the other passengers. The heather fore instance was way too hot, and after couple times of asking he still didn’t achieve to turnoff the heather. This took at least 2 hours (the trip itself was 10 hours). So imagine that you are starting your trip like this. The other thing I didn’t liked was the lack of leading. There were no clear comeback times and a lack of time management…
Fun and diverse!

It was a really fun experience with a knowledgeble guide (Gudrin; I know I am not writing the name right). We saw so many things with well timed stops for food and bathroom.
Great experience

Oskar was an amazing tour guide and gave fun facts along the trip. The day was filled with stops (above and beyond the ones already listed). Views were breathtaking
Oreo Beach
SilviaMatilda_A, Jan 2024
This was our first tour in Iceland so naturally we were amazed by the magnificent sights we saw during this trip. The pick-up was trouble free, and right from the start our guide was very informative. At the Ytri Tunga beach unfortunately we did not see the seals but the sight of having the mountains and the beach so close to each other was definitely special. Another highlight of the trip from was Djupalonssandur beach which we baptised the Oreo Beach due to the contrast of the black sand and white snow. There were other highlights such as the famous black church and the other mountainous range and the famous peak from Game of Thrones. The trip is fairly long so make sure that you bring some light snacks with you.
Wonderful experience

Corenia was very knowledgeable answered any questions gave us a lot of insight into Iceland history and pointed out extra sites to us
Mythic Beauty
Wendy_D, Nov 2023
Absolutely wonderful tour. The landscape was like some thing in a myth, absolutely stunning and otherworldly. It was a very cold day with high winds but to me, it was exhilarating. Our guide was both informative and helpful. He made sure to give us sufficient stops for bathroom, breaks, snacks, and coffee, but he also gave us enough time at every stop. I would highly recommend.
Beautiful Snæfellsnes

Dated of Join : 28/09/2023 A day tour (12hours)(08.00am to 20.00pm) When I purchased Snaefellsnes:Hidden Gem of the West Small-roup Day Trip from Reykjavik (Troll Expeditions, Kirjufell Mountain,Kirkjufellsfoss,Budakirkja,Ytri Tunga Fishing village,Ytri Tunga Beach, Londrangar Basalt Cliffs, Dijupalonsssandur Beach & Saxholl Crater. Troll Expeditions is most popular in Iceland, I was very dissatisfied with this itinerary at first. After buying this itinerary from Viator.com, I found out that there were several different prices. If they happened to be included in the same group itinerary, the Troll Expeditions would arrange different ones. The one with the highest payment and the lowest price would be different and together groups We purchased the tour in Malaysian currency RM1389.83 and then converted it to USD292.68 so it was more expensive for us, for them, it's not expensive because of the US dollar. Our tour guide cum driver Mr.Daniel. In the morning we just pass by our first destination Ytri Tunga beach and did not stop. We were doubt and later we asked why he did not stop at the place, he explained that Ytri-Tunga is not in his itinerary item list, arrange by Troll Expeditions. We are so surprised and feel like had been cheated or maybe join the wrong group because we paid more amount for the tour package. We also found that four young couple from China also had same our itinerary. Other missing out destination are like Troll Expeditions, Ytri Tunga Beach, Ytri Tunga Fishing Village & Saxholl Crater. I immediately emailed viator.com and viator immediately forwarded my message to Troll Expeditions, In between and at the end of our tour, Dr.Dainel added berserkjahraun lava field , Bardur Saga Snaefellsas Statue, Gestastofan a Malarrifi, Malariff lighthouse, waterfall photostop and Yti tunga beach, we were still lucky to saw a seal's head at sea. Thank you very much as specially Mr.Dainel.
Great visit to Iceland

A tour of a less touristy part of Iceland. A beautiful tour around the peninsula with fabulous views and spectacular stops. A definite must for anyone visiting Iceland.
Snaefellsnes Tour - Great Time
Bradley_B, Oct 2023
We had a great time on the Snaefellsnes tour. Comfortable transportation and good tour guide. Allowed ample time at each stop. Fantastic views - black sand beach, lava fields, craters and glaciers all at the same location. The seal beach was a nice surprise. Great tour - highly recommend. Brad_B from WV
