Plitvice Lakes are so beautiful even in winter when trees have no leaves. Our van was full (8 guests, plus driver), but also comfortable. On the drive there, our wonderful guide (Patrick) took the time to explain the long and complicated history of Croatia and Yugoslavia. He answered all questions openly and honestly (much appreciated). We walked with him at a comfortable pace through both the lower and upper Plitvice lakes area. The journey also included a boat ride, and a train-bus ride back to the parking area. Rastoke was small, but also interesting. Highly recommend Patrick and this tour.

Amazing experience with our guide Bruno, professional and friendly. Small group makes it easier to visit the lakes at our pace. We have had the tile to see most of the sightseeing without hurry. I warmly recommend this tour !

Rastoke is the high light because of its unique qualities. Seeing the houses using water to power their gristmills on the lower level while living in the upper level. The Falla themselves are underwhelming. Yes, there are numerous falls, but the pale by comparison to others. Being on two levels is interesting and maybe unique.

What an excellent tour. We had a great tour guide in Ivan. Plitvice National Park is such a beautiful part of Croatia. The boardwalk through the park is magnificent. Our tour was perfect. All tickets and transport including the ferry and minibus was all sorted. We were at the end of tourist season so the crowds were smaller

Not a thoughtful tour guide

The locations are great. However, it was raining heavily on Oct 15. when I took the tour. I saw many tour groups received either free ponchos from their guides OR their guides will lend the tourists umbrella. Our tour guide had his own umbrella, well-prepared for the rain. I was drenched in rain, my bag all damaged from the rain. I was shivering because it was so cold and I was drenched in rain in 10 hours. when it rains, the terrain within the national park is very dangerous and slippery. Many bridges are narrow and no railing, hikers can fall into the lakes. Our guide walked very fast ahead of us after warning us that the path could be slippery. Many times could not even see any sight of the guide since he walked very fast. A proper guide would (1) lend umbrella or give free poncho (2) walk behind the tourists to ensure safety during the rain (3) give ample time to tourists to snap photos and not walking away so fast that tourists have to chase after the guide

Incredible National Park

This park should not be missed on a trip to Croatia. Our driver was great. He shared knowledge about the park as well as the country. There are many waterfalls along the way. The route is not the entire perimeter so although a good long hike it is doable.

Rushing all the time

The booking with viator all fine. The tour is too expensive, the guide was rushing all the time and even when we arrived to important spots i was rushed not to me male individual photos!! I pay 400 euros and I only have 30 second for a family photo done in a rush and with low quality?? I eant to say that i paid 400 euros cause the kids also pay , if they pay they deserve a minimun of attention and engagement from the guide during the tour. I have done other tours with guides very good on keeping the kids interested from time to time, but the guide was always rushing, my 6yo is used to walk but this trip can be very tiring for a kid not use to it. We were unfortunate to share the trip with an american lady very rude who thing she can put her nose on your bussiness. The guide spent the entire travel talking only to this lady and she pretended eveyone else to be silent in the van. As i said, if the kids PAY for the trip they deserve some sort of consideration.

We were picked up on time, the drive was smooth and the van was super clean. The driver / guide was very knowledgeable. The guide, Steve, took us through the lakes so easily and took a route that was different from how other big tour groups would go. Made the experience even more fun.

Waterfalls in the rain

Plitvice as well as Rastoke are magical places that you must see. Our guide Patrick was outstanding. The only problem was the day was rainy making walking a little difficult due to fear of slipping on the rock and log walkways. Anycase I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone!

One of the best outdoor experiences in Plitvice. Our guide was the best. He picked me up at the hotel and together with 4 other guests, we had a safe and fun journey to the national park.
