LUGGAGE LIMITATIONS: On the tour, each participant is welcome to bring one suitcase and one hand luggage. The luggage will be safely stored in the vehicle during tour.
The tour includes prox. 5km of walking on uneven surfaces -please wear comfortable walking shoes (we visit highlights of both, the Lower Lakes and the Upper Lakes).
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Depending on the weather conditions some parts of the park may be restricted
Here are few items you may need to make your time on the excursion the best of all: closed comfortable shoes (sneakers), sportswear, In case of rain raincoat or an umbrella. After summer time we recommend to bring also a warm sweater or jacket.

Martin was a superb guide. Very knowledgeable on history and nature. The park is stunning including the boat rodes the hiking and the scenery...around every bend a new delight...it is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Great Day Great group on tour.

The tour to the Plitvice lakes is once in a lifetime visit. A very unique national park like none other. Unfortunately our guide was not up to the mark. I wish we had someone who explained the importance or gave some informative tid bits as we walked a few hours viewing the multiple levels the lakes were situated on. The guide could have made this a very memorable visit, but it is a great missed opportunity. We saw another tour from Split whose guide was so informative and explained a lot during the entire 5 km walk. These types of tours can be either br a make or break depending on the expertise of the guides who are leading the tours. We expect the guides to be enthusiastic and energetic to keep the party involved and engaged. We had none of those. I urge the tour operators and Viator to ensure we have skilled and knowledgeable guides on such tours! I am very disappointed with this tour!

Great way to connect Zagreb to Plitvice and Split

The tour was greatly led by Diana and the beginning and then Mia, both knowledgeable and helpful guides. The tour was well organized and Plitvice was amazing. The only - is: you should tell at the very beginning that we’ll have lunch at 4PM! But that’s all forgotten because there were great connections within the group. By the way, for long trips I recommend a coach over a van. More comfy and less prone to motion sickness. So this was perfect for us!

I scalted a complaint with Viator staff… Portal Day Tours transfer company leave us without pick up arguing (in a super rude and aggressive maner) that we wasn’t on time ready to pick up and many other lies… reasons why I had to demonstrate that we was correct in every single aspect that they stablished to avoid responsibility: I was on time according the updates that was emailed and advised us for the app, I gave a correct contact number according my tour booking, even I had to showed my hotel booking to proff them that I was a real guest in that hotel, when finally after a long discussion regarding all this traumatic process they decided to sent us a taxi one hour after to the us to the park, telling that was a Viator mistake not them, honestly Viator or that company or both damaged our vacation experience. Viator costumer service staff scaled to “high department” our complain waiting for their positive response. Until today no email from Viator. Ready to take legal action.

Brilliant way to transfer from Zagreb to Split

Great way of getting from Zagreb to Split and seeing the park . Brilliant !! It was long day but we knew that signing up for it. The park was a guided tour which was great! We saw everything and were very pleased. The drop off in Split was a bit of a downside- we had no idea where we were or how to get to our hotel. In the end the driver did call the hotel for us and the hotel came and picked us up.

A perfect trip meets my needs—- get to Split from Zagreb and visit the park all in one day! Marco was an excellent tour guide, he made the trip more interesting and the long bus rides more bearable. The food at the lunch stop was not amazing, but ok, considering it really is in the middle of no where. .

Marco was a great source of information. He was very knowledgeable about location and had a history which was evident from his knowledge. He know what to avoid and what to do. So we had a great discussion on geographic history as well as general knowledge about Plitvice and Zagreb area. Keep n mind that it will be a very strenuous day with much more then 7 KM of walking. So be prepared for everything hurting and keep a lot of water handy for the long walk in plitvice lake area.

Tour guide Marko was a really good communicator. A legend. So I learnt a lot about Croatia. The paths looked rustic and attractive but we're difficult to manage for me. So I spent most of the time looking at where I was stepping. Also they were not wide enough for 2 way traffic.
