What To Expect

Receive a morning pickup from your accommodations in Zagreb, continuing by vehicle with your professional photographer and guide to the city Motovun. Check out the city’s ancient Roman-era architecture and scenic valleys beyond as you get tips to capture the perfect shot.

Continue through postcard-perfect fields of vineyards as you continue to Rovinj, stopping to capture images of its multi-colored houses and baroque church St. Euphemia from the 18th century. Then enjoy the view across the Adriatic as you head to Pula, where you have more time to photograph the town’s military fortifications (dating from the days of the Austro-Hungarian empire) and its ancient Roman amphitheater. Many shutterbugs enjoy capturing Pula’s shipyard cranes, which change colors after dark.

Finish the tour by heading back to your Zagreb hotel.

The sites were breathtaking. We visited 3 different cities and each had a different charm. Great trip

We are pleased we elected to make the long day trip from Zagreb to Istria and return. To have missed this very scenic area we would have left Croatia without experiencing one of its most important areas for food, wine and history. We were well led by our driver and professional photograper Igor, who made sure we saw the best of three very different towns, Motovun, Ronji and Pula, taking us to good locations for photos and offering some practical tips on photography. A highlight was our lunch stop at a seafood restaurant at a quiet little inlet in the middle of nowhere. We ate a huge platter of mussels cooked in white wine and garlic, and washed them down with the lovely Istrian white wine.
