Destroyed and rebuilt numerous times, it’s been used to deter Crusader attacks, defend iron mines and trade routes, and as part of a beacon and pigeon communication network.

Impressive Jerash & Ajloun Castle views
Our driver was Adnan who was smartly dressed and professional. We went to Jerash which from the outside looks smaller than it is but it's actually huge and you could spend hours there. It was magnificent. The next stop was atmospheric Ajloun Castle which sits on a hill so you get fantastic views.

Private driver
This “tour” is really just a private driver from Amman to Jerash and the Aljoun Castle. Both are cool sights but the price for two people is more than what you’d pay for a taxi to take you to these sites.

Amazing day tour with an amazing tour driver/guide
It was very easy to book, the driver Amer was so professional and also acted as a tour guide. Amer was on time, ready to go. He helped me understand the history of the castles, as well as the history of the country! He was polite and respectful the whole day! Amert took me to local restaurants and showed me the typical Jordanian hospitality! I would totally book another trip with him in the future, and in hindsight I should have done my whole travel with him!
