Auckland Harbour Bridge Climb

105 Curran St., Westhaven Reserve, Herne Bay, Auckland, Auckland, 1011

The basics

Guided walking tours take thrillseekers along the sky-high walkway at the top of Auckland Harbour Bridge from where the 360-degree panoramic views span Waitemata Harbour, downtown Auckland, the North Shore beaches, and the volcanic island of Rangitoto. Tours take about two hours, during which time you’ll walk up to the top of the bridge’s central arch, securely attached with a safety harness, and climb up to the highest point.

Auckland for adrenaline junkies

If walking the famous bridge isn’t enough of an adrenaline rush, daredevils have plenty of other options in Auckland. Tackle the city’s only urban bungy jump from Auckland Harbour Bridge, including a 131-foot (40-meter) freefall and an ocean touch finish, where you can dip your hands or head into the water. Alternatively, challenge yourself to a hands-free Skywalk around the top of the Auckland Sky Tower or a 630-foot (192-meter) Skyjump from the top.
