This is the only way to get the most out of your visit to the wild Piha beach! Meet our group at The Pantry Cafe on Auckland's Viaduct basin. Grab your coffee/breakfast before we embark on our Piha Expedition. Relax in our luxurious Mercedes Sprinter van as we wind our way through the ranges towards the famous Piha. Stopping at some of the most scenic and high altitude lookouts Auckland has to offer. Upon arrival at Piha, we observe the severe flood damage as we venture onto the wild black sand beach at the North and South ends to explore the landscapes. We walk among the towering cliffs to find hidden tracks through the native forest. We carefully navigate many a massive sea cave and natural tunnels surrounding the areas. We will see native wildlife such as the Tui's and watch the colourful Rosellas in the forest. If we are lucky we will spot a Seal or Sea Lion! Up to 4km walking over the day. Upon arrival at Piha, We walk among the towering cliffs to find hidden tracks through the native forest. We carefully navigate the massive caves and sea tunnels surrounding the areas. Deep inside a cave at the end of Taniwha bay we can find Penguins and sometimes large Seals in the torchlight. Lunch options available from the local Piha cafe. Milton, Aeda(sp), and Erin were wonderful tour guides! This tour was lovely and not too far outside the city where we got to experience a rainforest, black sand beach and amazing lookout points.

Rainforest walk was a great experience. Unfortunately the black sand beach was closed for this time I took the tour, because of road damage from heavy rain they had. But it still was a worthy trip for me.

Good way to see a lot of Auckland in a short period of time
The tour covered a lot in a short period of time which was great as we only had a couple of days in Auckland. The guides were knowledgeable and fun.
