Immerse yourself in the culture and natural beauty of the Merzouga desert on this two-day small-group camel-trekking tour. Exerience how the Bedouin have traveled through the desert for centuries as the sun sets over the golden coloured dunes of the Erg Chebbi. Enjoy a delicious dinner at camp, as well as a performance of traditional Berber drum music. After a night under the star-studded desert sky, you'll ride your camel back to Merzouga.

On the first day, ride to Imlil from Marrakesh and begin your trek. You'll head along the Ait Mizane Valley, pass through the village of Aremd and onto the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch. You’ll follow mule tracks into the high rocky cliffs, climbing steadily above the snow line until you reach the Toukbal Refuge. Rest here for the night. On the second day, you’ll follow the southern circle route. The climb itself is not highly strenuous, but scree and altitude changes may make it difficult in parts. Don't worry - there are plenty of views to distract you along the way. When you reach the summit, soak in the 360-degree-view. You'll see the Marrakech Plain and the High Atlas Mountains to the north, all the way to the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert in the south. From the peak, you’ll head back down the mountain and return to Marrakesh via Imill.

Essaouira surprises you with its straight streets, designed by French. After visiting the port with its bronze cannons, take a stroll through the medina and souks to explore the woodworking shops dedicated to cedar sculpture. After the free walk, the driver will suggest some restaurants for you if you want to enjoy your lunch at your leisure in one of the local restaurants serving delicious meals made from the seafood. You will have time to enjoy also the other charming sights of Essaouira, including its ocher-colored walls, and also, it’s the time to relax beside the beauty of the calm beach.
