Inspired by his teenage years spent in the vines with his grandfather Valeriano Jacuzzi, owner Fred Cline opened his family-run winery in homage to his late grandfather in 2007. The resulting winery, its vino, and overall wine tasting experience are heavily influenced by Italian culture. In fact, the winery makes several Italian wine varietals—including Barbera, Pinot Grigio, and Sangiovese; all of which can be sipped in the elegant and airy barrel room.
While the grapes might be old school—Jacuzzi is not; the winery is making huge strides in its sustainable growing and winemaking practices. It refrains from using pesticides—and instead—uses more creative forms of pest control such as sheep. Plus, they’re a 100 percent solar-powered winery.
