An essential part of the American financial system, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York (one of 12 in the United States) offers free tours for visitors wanting to learn more about banking, monetary policy, and the economic impact of trade. You’ll see the on-site museum, trading rooms, and even the Fed’s steel-reinforced, concrete vault.
Fabulous tour by the amazing Jessie. Well-paced with lots of interesting stories and very engaging facts. Would definitely recommend even if you are already quite familiar with the story of Hamilton, as there was so much more to learn and fascinating seeing everything in person in old New York.
Awesome tour through lower Manhattan following the history of the area and Alexander Hamilton. Our guide was full of knowledge, friendly, and welcomed all questions.
I was looking for a small group in Bowling Green Park, and surprisingly, I was the only person who reserved the tour on 11/02/23 at 3:00 pm. Sam, the tour guide, was so nice and patient with me and my English. It was so good to have a private tour experience and to see NY as Alexander Hamilton did.
This was the highlight of our trip! Our son loved Hamilton and our guide Kevin took us to the sites of the important moments of the revolutionary war. It was fascinating and he took family photos along the way. Highly recommend!
We learned a lot about the early history of lower Manhattan, and saw a part of town we've never seen before. To think that George Washington, Alexander Hamilton, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and other historical luminaries once roamed the same street we were on was thrilling. And even though most of the old wooden buildings they knew no longer exist, it's easy enough to imagine what it might have looked like back in 1776.
Our tour guide Sam was exceptional with the amount of knowledge he shared on the Hamilton walking tour. We visited NYC mainly to see the Hamilton Musical and this was the perfect tour to experience prior to the show. My son being a Hamilton fan enjoyed this immensely and it tied everything together nicely. The small group was perfect for getting around easily.
Great guide and great tour. Ended at Fraunces Tavern enjoing bivalves and libations with Sam, our guide. Sam was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining and a lot of fun to hang out with both during and after the scheduled tour.
Perfect prelude to the Hamilton musical on Broadway
Our witty, friendly and knowledgeable guide fully prepared us for the Hamilton musical on broadway which we saw hours later. Perfect introduction to the history of not only an incredibly important individual but the history of early New York City. Loved it. In two hours I learned so much about Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr, James Madison, the political system at the time, George Washington, and the intricate relationship amongst them. Highly recommended..
Kevin was our very knowledgeable tour guide and he did not leave any details out about the steps of Alexander Hamilton! We learned about the humble beginnings of New York City and the impact the Dutch had on the founding of this city. We were walked through the Revolutionary War and introduced to General George Washington and his relationship with Alexander Hamilton. Please note that Kevin, our tour guide, made history come to life with his stories and walking us in the steps of some of most well known patriots. We learned so much about Hamilton and Kevin pointed out the events and words we needed to watch for in the play. We will book future NYC tours with this tour group! Prompt, thorough, and spends every moment taking you back in time!
