Dynamic, engaging, well-informed tour by a friendly, animated and knowledgeable guide!
Emma_W, Apr 2024
Leo was just fantastic, through and through. His passion for all things Hamilton / Washington / downtown NYC was palpable and infectious. I brought my 8-year-old, who has a burgeoning interest in American history, and Leo's presentation was incredible food for her intellectual curiosity. Leo brought the rich history of the neighborhood to life, mapping it against references in the Hamilton score (which he played for us on our earbud devices), lifting out hidden meanings, historical references, pointing out how Lin-Manuel Miranda borrowed from and honored other hip-hop artists and musical theater composers. He was thoughtful about balancing standing, walking and sitting time -- along with the need for restroom breaks -- making the 3-hour adventure fly by for my child and me. I only wish I'd taken his tour years ago, as it would've deepened my appreciation for both the musical and my hometown. Highly highly recommended for anyone interested in Hamilton the musical and/or the person, Washington, Jefferson, the American Revolution, downtown Manhattan, or any combination of the above. Thank you, Leo!!
AMAZING!!!

We are huge Hamilton fans and were in NY to see the show for the first time. This was the perfect morning activity to learn more about the history! It was very interesting! We had so much fun!
Awesome, Wow!!!

Our tour guide, Chazz, gave us the most well-researched, multi-faceted, well-composed experience on a windy and rainy day spring day. It was the perfect complement to our watching the musical the next day. We were our Hamilton shirts and sang our way through the rain. We are huge Hamilfans, especially our son, and this was our treat for his 12th birthday. He told me, "Mama, you told me that the tour guide will 'drop some knowledge' 😉, but I didn't expect him to have so many cool facts. It blew my mind." Book this tour to find out how Biggie Smalls, Titanic, and Texas almost became part of England are all related!

The tour guide, Chaz was awesome. He was knowledgeable and led the experience well. He was super helpful to ensure we arrived to the correct location. He provided technology so we could hear him. He covered much more than Hamilton facts which for me took away from the experience.
Wonderful

What can I say other than "don't throw away your shot" too experience an amazing tour intertwining American history, on site locations and Hamilton music. This is a must do on your checklist when visiting Manhattan. Our guide Chaz was fantastic, fun, informative and a pretty good rapper 😁. Do yourself and your kids a favor and spend 3 hours in Downtown NYC and relive the stories of the founding fathers through the eyes of Lin Manuel Miranda!!!
Like the musical, lives up to the hype!

Leo's is a captivating storyteller which is fortunate because you're going to learn a lot! I've done many great walking tours and this one of the, if not the, best. He has so much to share about the history of NYC, the country, obviously the life of Alexander Hamilton, and the musical itself. Leo keeps the many layers connected and personal so the stories feel alive. The walking is fairly light and Leo looked after the group crossing busy streets, getting shelter from the weather, getting seats, and a restroom break.
Great tour

Leo was a phenomenal tour guide! My 12 year old daughter and I really enjoyed learning a more about the Revolutionary War and the history of Manhattan. We also appreciated the comparison to the musical and ofcourse, the MUSIC during our walk.
Great experience!

Chazz was Wonderful!! We really enjoyed all his stories and information! My teenage daughter is a Huge fan, and she enjoyed it too! (Seriously that is a Big compliment!!!). She liked how Chazz played snippets of the songs while he tied it into real history. I loved that we had earpieces, so I never felt that I missed anything because of traffic etc. I would definitely recommend this tour to fans of the show!
Excellent tour

This tour was incredible! We learnt so much, not only about Hamilton the musical but also about the history of New York City. Leo was extremely well informed about Alexander Hamilton’s life and all that came along with that. I loved listening to snippets of the songs as we walked through the fascinating landmarks around lower Manhattan. Every second of the three hour tour was filled with fascinating information. Highly recommend!
Don’t be shocked when your history books mention me!

Everything about this experience was great! I purchased the tickets for my daughters, mother, and self, as part of my 11-year-old’s birthday present. The kids and I love the Hamilton soundtrack and everything about the American Revolution. Prior to purchasing the tickets, I read a lot of great reviews for this tour and I can see why for multiple reasons! I knew exactly where and when to meet Leo, the tour guide. He messaged me the night before to confirm time, meeting place, and other important information. Coming from NJ, it was easy for us to get to and take the Staten Island Ferry into Manhattan then meet the tour guide there. Leo was very pleasant, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. As for the tour itself, we had a wonderful time learning about the history and how the music tied into it. Leo was enthusiastic and entertaining in his storytelling. He answered our questions thoroughly to the point that I thought he was a history teacher! My daughters’ favorite part of the tour was actually seeing the gravesite of A. Ham. Mine was being at Bowling Green, listening to Leo and imagining the Sons of Liberty tearing down the statue of King George. It was also a pretty special moment to be there in the city on November 25th, Evacuation Day! What a worthwhile experience!
Amazing historical walking tour

Leo was amazing!! This was a great way to kick start our trip to New York! He was so well informed with info from the New Amsterdam settlement to the Revolutionary times to the basics on the financial district. My middle school kids even enjoyed it! They said it was the right amount of fun and info! Highly recommend this tour (it's well worth the price and the introduction to the area)! Great job Leo!
A must do for any Ham Fan!
Toni_D, Nov 2023
So much passion in the story telling. Not just based on the musical but the history itself. Really informative and entertaining chap. Loved the fact it was a full three hours and it went so fast. It was definatly worth the price. It was an excellent addition to our Broadway Day and it's definatly in our top 3 things we did in NYC. Thanks again! When I get my husband over we will definatly repeat this activity!
Great walking tour!!

Great tour! Our guide was wonderful. I would highly recommend if you are a fan of the show. Learned some really interesting facts about the shows characters as well as some Easter eggs hidden in the show I hadn’t heard before.
