Amway Center

400 W Church St. Suite 200, Orlando, Florida, 32801

The basics

The Amway Center is the successor to the Amway Arena, which closed in 2010. This newer, up-to-date arena had been built with sustainability in mind, including environmentally-friendly features such as water efficiency and energy optimization. (The center uses 20% less energy and 40% less water than similarly sized arenas.) Its scoreboard is one of the largest in the NBA, measuring about 42 feet (13 meters) high and offering an advanced high-definition display.

When to get there

Because the arena hosts many different types of events, admission fees and opening times vary. Check the calendar of events for more information and operating hours. The NBA regular season typically begins in late October and runs until mid-April. Doors open 90 minutes before tip-off, and on select nights visitors can take part in the center’s Fan Fest ahead of the game.

Known for its iconic swan boats, as well as real swans, the park provides a touch of nature in contrast to the flashy theme parks nearby. There’s also a performance space, the Walt Disney® Amphitheater, which hosts events throughout the year.
