The building affords some of the best views in all of Osaka. Visitors come to watch planes take off from the faraway Kansai International Airport or sip a cocktail to the sounds of jazz tunes as the sun sets over the city. Few tours stop at the skyscraper, so it tends to be a quieter alternative to the more popular Umeda Sky Building.
Cosmo Tower is by the port in western Osaka. To get there, take the train to Trade Center-Mae Station on the Nanko Port Town line; the tower entrance is just a few minutes away.
The Cosmo Tower observation deck is open Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year. It’s particularly popular around sunset, so arrive early to get the best views.
The Cosmo Tower is one of the most photographer-friendly spots in Osaka. Tripods are permitted as long as they’re not obstructing other visitors, and longer evening hours give visitors more time to capture night views of the city.
