As one of Perth’s top attractions, Kings Park is part of many city tour itineraries, including Segway tours, and can be seen from the water on a Swan River cruise. The park is also a stop on hop-on, hop-off bus tours. With its location in the city center just west of the Central Business District (CBD), it’s easy to visit during a day of sightseeing.
The park’s 1,000 acres (405 hectares) are home to grassy lawns, hundreds of species of native vegetation in the bushland sections and botanic garden, playgrounds for kids, and Western Australian trees such as karri and jarrah. One of the most popular features is the Federation Walkway, a series of paths and an arched bridge that take you through the treetops and gardens, past Aboriginal art, and along viewpoints of the Swan River.
