A guided tour of Perth Mint takes you through exhibits featuring millions of dollars of gold and other precious metals, including the Australian Kangaroo One Tonne Gold Coin—the world’s largest gold bullion coin. You also learn the Mint’s history and watch gold being melted, poured, and formed into bars. The Mint is a stop on most Perth hop-on hop-off tours, making it easy to visit as part of a day of sightseeing.
The Perth Mint shop offers high-end jewelry and gold and silver bars and coins for sale; the shop also buys gold and silver bullion.
The shop and exhibition areas are wheelchair-accessible via ramps.
