Fishermen’s Terminal has been a Seattle icon for more than a century. Far more than just an industrial space, it’s an important community hub for those affiliated with the local fishing industry, as well as for curious visitors and local seafood lovers. Featuring several popular seafood eateries—including Chinook’s at Salmon Bay, the Little Chinook’s kiosk, Bay Cafe, and the Highliner Public House—Fishermen’s Terminal is also home to The Station gift shop, the Fishermen’s Green Market and Deli, and Wild Salmon Seafood Market, where shoppers can buy salmon, crab, and other seafood straight off the boat.
Fishermen’s Terminal is a popular stop on a number of Seattle sightseeing tours, including shore excursions, half- and full-day itineraries, and bike tours of the city’s waterways.
Stop to pay tribute at the Fishermen’s Memorial: The bronze and stone monument commemorates the 675 local fishermen and women who have been lost at sea since the early 20th century.

If you plan to explore the docks, be sure to wear close-toed, non-slip shoes; long pants and layers are also recommended.
Fishermen’s Terminal is located at 3919 18th Ave. W. in Seattle, along Salmon Bay on the south side of the Ballard Bridge. If traveling by car, take Highway 99 N; free parking is offered on-site. You can also reach the area on the Route 31 and D Line bus routes, several local bike trails, and by boat (temporary mooring is permitted at docks 8 and 9).
Fishermen’s Terminal is always open, though the best time to visit is during typical daytime opening hours, when its shops and restaurants are open. If you plan to moor your own recreational boat, the best time to do so is between June and August, when much of the North Pacific Fishing Fleet is away and fishing off the coast of Alaska.
