Ghibli Museum Tour
The open air architecture museum was wonderful! It was very interesting to see how examples of older architecture have been preserved in Japan. The Ghibli museum was fun for the kids. The tour was great, and our guide Michiko was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tour very much!

Because of Japan Awaits we were able to visit the Ghibli Museum
Since it was no longer possible to have a guide in the museum, the Japan Awaits team did everything in their power to still book two tickets for us on the proposed dates. We were so happy that the tickets came through, and the guide gave us ample information and guidance before our entrance into the museum.

I recommend
We had the greatest guide from Viator. Her name is Hitomi Kohara and has a lot of knowledge and interest in Ghibli.

Great day trip!
Michiko was the BEST! There are no English translations in the museum so she gave us some details beforehand so we knew what we were looking at. She also shared her knowledge of Tokyo/Edo and how Hayao Miyazaki was influenced by different pieces of Japanese culture and history. Thank you so much, Michiko-san!
