So, you've done the muggle-friendly explorations and checked off the Harry Potter Studio Tour. But have you indulged your inner Hogwarts house? Just, loyal, and true, we Hufflepuffs are an inclusive sort. Whether you’re green fingered like Professor Sprout, animal loving like Newt Scamander, alternative like Tonks, or just an all-round champion like Cedric Diggory himself (RIP, always in our hearts), you’ll find plenty to enjoy across the British capital. Here’s how to make the most of 24 hours in London as a proud Hufflepuff.
The capital is home to a vast array of nature-focused attractions, including ZSL London Zoo, Kew Gardens, and the Natural History Museum. Whichever you’re keen to visit, it’s worth arriving early to beat the crowds. Plus, promising herbologists shouldn’t miss the Evolution Garden and botanical library at Kew, which also boasts a Treetop Walkway and Carnivorous Plant Collection that would make even Professor Sprout tremble.
As Hufflepuffs, our variety defines us, and London has city tour options to match. Follow in the footsteps of the first Minister for Magic and fellow Hufflepuff, Artemisia Lufkin, on a walking tour of Westminster, or head into the suburbs in search of London’s own fantastic beasts, including wild deer, parakeets, honey bees, and surprisingly large carp. If weird and wonderful markets or alternative art are more your thing, areas such as Shoreditch and Camden Town will entice any curious Hufflepuff.

Committed as we are to fair play and hard work, it’s no surprise that lots of Hufflepuffs love sport—much like our own True Champion, Cedric Diggory. While it’s not quite Quidditch, London’s many football (soccer) stadiums offer a similar match day buzz. The big London teams, such as Tottenham, Arsenal, and West Ham, boast stadium experiences to rival Quidditch World Cup games, while smaller clubs are a little more laidback. Be aware that Premier League games often sell out, so it’s worth booking in advance.
Wholesome Hufflepuffs can wind down after a busy day with a quintessentially English afternoon tea experience, whether on board a Knight Bus–style vintage double decker or inside the luxurious Kensington Palace. If you’re more of a Leaky Cauldron kind of Hufflepuff, historical pub tours and local distillery experiences provide illuminating insight into London’s long brewing history, plus plenty of tasters, too.
Soak up the magical sights on a sunset river cruise or tread the city streets with a local to discover its best dinner spots. We may be a hardworking sort, but we can also kick back on a bar tour or with tickets to a West End show. If you have business to settle with the Fat Friar or any of the other Hogwarts ghosts, spooky nighttime walks are an increasingly popular option for after-dark exploration.
