One of New York City’s most famous buildings, 30 Rockefeller Plaza boasts incredible views from its sky-high viewpoint, the Top of the Rock observation deck. Visitors can access three levels for both indoor and outdoor platforms offering unobstructed, 360-degree vistas of the sprawling metropolis. The skyscraper, which houses NBC headquarters, was formerly known as the GE Building and is now the Comcast Building.
The view was great (observed at night, with a “timed” ticket). Shame the glass isn’t cleaned of smears more often at the top but appreciate the predicament (caused by tourists). Queuing system outside seemed a bit chaotic, to enter the main building but again appreciate the building wasn’t designed for this purpose and number of people at once as far as I can tell. The guy outside was doing a sterling job.
Did some research on observation decks in NY prior to our trip. Not the tallest observation deck but gives the best views. Luckily we had glorious weather so could see for miles.
Took the family to NYC and wanted to show the kids the Statue of Liberty without having to do the 4 hour long boat and walking tour. This boat tour is a brisk 1 hr and you get to see all the islands and Brooklyn without having to step off the boat. Plenty of photo ops and entertaining tour guide. 👍🏼
Great experience at the Top of the Rock. Buying tickets through Viator was so easy. We exchanged them in the morning for timed tickets that evening. As a consequence we walked straight in and didn’t have to line up with others eugh I timed tickets. Highly recommend
