What To Expect

When reserving your New York Explorer Pass by Go City, choose to include access to two, three, four, five, six, seven or 10 top New York City attractions or tours. You can choose from more than 90 things to do, from the Empire State Building and Top of the Rock to the Statue of Liberty and Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises.

Follow the instructions on your voucher/ticket to redeem your code and activate your pass. Using the included Go City app and digital guide, create your own itinerary and visit each attraction at your own pace—your pass is valid for 60 days from first use.

Check which activities require advance reservations, then show your pass on your mobile device at the entrance.

  • Go City child passes are only available for ages 3 to 12 years old. For any accompanying children under 3 yrs old please check with each individual attraction or tour whether infants are accepted and/or need to pay an entrance fee.
  • The New York Explorer Pass is activated the date of first use. Additional attractions purchased are valid up to 60-days after first use.
  • Your New York Explorer Pass will be immediately available as your 'ticket' after purchase. To use the app follow instructions on the pass document provided and make sure to update your email address when prompted. You will not be able to use the Go City app nor place advanced reservations, unless you update your email first.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Some attractions welcome visitors on the day and some need to be booked in advance, check the app or digital guidebook for instructions and place reservations well in advance (where needed) to avoid disappointment.
  • New York also has a few extremely popular attractions that don't have reservation requirements, but will involve wait times during busy periods. These include Top of the Rock Observation Deck, 9/11 Memorial & Museum, One World Observatory, Best of NYC Cruise by Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises and Liberty Super Express Cruise. For these attractions in particular, check all the tips included on the digital guide and app, to ensure you have the best sightseeing experience.
  • Attractions may have upgrades available and may be purchased the day visited, payable direct to the operator
  • Please note visits to the Empire State Building need to be booked in advance and it is not possible to book sunset time slots with your pass. We suggest booking for an evening slot to enjoy sweeping views of Manhattan's city lights at night!
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 15 travelers

      This pass is a total rip off. Don’t buy it unless you only want to use the bus on 2 consecutive days. It says valid for 60 days but isn’t. Look around and buy something else. I feel very cheated.

      I bought a CP for $500 for three people for six sites. After use at the first site, the city pass didn’t work for any of the other sites. I had to end up buying tickets for all of the other activities.

      None we arrived on the 8th of February ready to use our passes the next day to be told the date had passed we spent a lot of money on these tickets and no one said anything about using them via a specific date we are only here 3 full days no offer of another day or a refund I’m disgusted and disappointed we have lost all that money

      Very disappointed. I have bought a city pass in New York before and was brilliant so thought I would again. Used the pass at the Rockefeller centre no problem and then went on to Empire State Building however pass wouldn’t work when we got to the Empire State Building so had to fork out an extra $108 for 2 tickets. As this was probably the most expensive of the sights we wanted to see we were really annoyed. Staff had said they had problems with the Viator tickets. Turns out we were supposed to have received a confirmation from go city which took 24 hours of emails back and forth thorough the night to sort out we only had 4 days in NY. Next time I would book directly with supplier but probably wouldn’t use GoCity.

      We bought the 7 attractions pass which suited us perfectly. We chose the Empire State Building, Museum of Natural History, The Edge, One World, 911 Museum, Top of the Rock and the Hop on Hop off Bus. All of these were great and not having to book in advance for most, gave us flexibility. We did book the Empire State and Natural History museum in advance, but only 24 hours and we got the times we wanted. I would say the only thing that would be good is if you could split up the uptown / downtown bus journeys over two days - especially in winter, by the time we got to downtown it was getting dark! Apart from that a great card

      We have been unable to use our pass to book a further 2 attractions as we weren’t supplied with the 7 digit order number to enable us to make a reservation via the GO CITY platform. Go City could not find my details despite us having booked the 911 memorial and Viator told me to contact Go City.. going round in circles. I had added the pass with the QR code to my apple wallet. It had disappears from the wallet this morning

      The app was not easy to use or understand. We were tempted by the pricing and went for a 5 options pass but only used 4 passes which ended up not being a savings. The crown and pedestal for Statue of Liberty were not included so we had to pay extra. I would not recommend.
