The Remuh Synagogue is located in the atmospheric Jewish quarter of Kazimierz and is frequently a stop on half- or full-day guided walking tours of Krakow. These tours explore Krakow’s Jewish history and the important landmarks of Kazimierz. Some travelers choose to save tired legs and speed up their sightseeing by exploring the sights in an electric golf cart. As well as Kazimierz, it’s also possible to see the former Ghetto area and the Old Town on certain tours.
The cobbled streets and narrow pathways near Remuh Synagogue may make access tricky for wheelchair users and travelers with strollers.
As it’s an active place of worship, it's recommended to wear respectful clothing and to cover legs and shoulders.

To get to Remuh Synagogue from the Old Town’s Main Market Square, it takes around 20 minutes on foot. Alternatively, it’s easy to get there by public transport. You can get the 1, 3, 5, 17, 19 tram or the 669 bus to Miodowa stop, which is around a 2-minute walk away from the synagogue.
The Remuh Synagogue is open year-round but may be closed during Jewish holidays, so it’s always worth checking the opening times in advance. The opening time is usually around mid-morning but the closing times vary, with shorter hours during the winter season. To avoid the crowds, weekday mornings are typically better to visit than weekends.
Rabbi Moses Isserles is known for being one of the most influential Jewish scholars in Poland. He was also a Rabbi in Krakow for 22 years and was known as Rabbi Rema, which is the Hebrew acronym of his full name. Remuh Synagogue was named after him, and his grave can be found in the neighboring cemetery.
