The basics

The necropolis—an ancient cemetery—is made up of of 14 man-made caves carved out of the cliff and 20 small oval cavities thought to have been used for ritual purposes or as tombs. You can explore the interesting site on your own, but be sure to check out the smaller rooms and larger underground tombs, noticing the hand-carved pillars and decorative doorways.

Combine your visit to the necropolis with a stop at the adjacent beach, located just a short walk away. Once there, kick back and unwind for an easy beach day. If you get hungry or thirsty, there are a few dining options nearby.
