Admission tickets include a guided tour of the orchards by tractor train, a fruit-tasting experience, a visit to an animal park with native and farm animals (including kangaroos and emus), and a boat cruise through the bushland valley. There’s also a recreational area with mini golf and a children’s playground; a fruit market where seasonal fruits such as dragon fruit, jackfruit, and papaya are on sale; and a shop where you can purchase souvenirs such as avocado oil cosmetics or homemade fruit jams.
Food-focused guided tours of the Tweed Valley often include a visit to Tropical Fruit World, as well as other local artisan food and drink makers.
As there are some uneven pathways, sturdy closed-toe shoes are recommended.
The train and boat are not wheelchair accessible. However, fruit-tasting sessions and the plantation pavilion areas are accessible to wheelchairs. Wheelchair-friendly restrooms are available in the shopping and dining area.
Residents of the Tweed, Gold Coast, or Byron Shires are eligible to join the farm’s Locals Club and enjoy the tour for half price.
Visitors are welcome to bring their own food and set up a picnic on one of the lawns or covered areas.

Tropical Fruit World is open year round, seven days a week, from morning until late afternoon. It is closed on December 25. While visitors will see many fruit varieties all year round, it is not possible to predict exactly when a certain fruit will be in season. Check the farm’s website for details on the various workshops and events it holds throughout the year.
Of course, the best part of visiting a fruit farm is tasting the exotic fruits, so don’t leave without visiting the Plantation Café, which showcases the best freshly picked seasonal fruit. You can try unique varieties such as cheese fruit, chocolate pudding fruit, caramel fruit, and champagne fruit, or opt for the always reliable smashed avocado on sourdough.
