The Basics

The listed French Historical Landmark—also known as the Auberge Ravoux—serves as a small museum dedicated to the beloved artist’s life and legacy. You can see what his 19th-century accommodations looked like as you visit his attic room number 5, and learn more about his life during a video screening. The downstairs restaurant at the Auberge has been open since 1876; it serves cheese, charcuterie, and wine.

The Maison de van Gogh is just a quick trip from Paris, making it easy to visit during the day. It also features on numerous tour itineraries, many of which also visit Giverny, the former home of Monet.
