The listed French Historical Landmark—also known as the Auberge Ravoux—serves as a small museum dedicated to the beloved artist’s life and legacy. You can see what his 19th-century accommodations looked like as you visit his attic room number 5, and learn more about his life during a video screening. The downstairs restaurant at the Auberge has been open since 1876; it serves cheese, charcuterie, and wine.

The nearest train stations to the museum are Pontoise, which you can access from Gare du Nord in Paris, and Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône, served by the RER C; both are approximately 4 miles (7 kilometers) away. From central Paris, it’s a 1-hour car trip via the A115.
The Maison de van Gogh is open seasonally, typically from early March to mid-November. During the season, it’s open daily, except on Mondays and Tuesdays, from morning until early evening. The on-site restaurant maintains the same opening hours, but doesn’t serve dinner.
