There’s a lot to discover in Zurich, as well as in the mountains and villages just outside of town, so it’s easy for first-timers to feel overwhelmed with options. These 10 picks range from nightlife to day trips to 9th-century landmarks, ensuring you’ll have a rich experience in Switzerland’s biggest city.

1. Stroll through Zurich’s Old Town streets

Get an intimate glimpse of the city’s historic landmarks.

Zurich’s Old Town (Aldstadt) is among the prettiest parts of the city.
