Resan överlag var jättebra. Sajten levde upp till sitt rykte. Föraren var underbar. Han var skicklig och vi kände oss alltid rädda även i det kaos som är Atens trafik. En av gruppen hade mobilitetsproblem och vi var alltid villiga att hjälpa till på alla möjliga sätt. Både resan och föraren var en mycket positiv upplevelse.

Overklig tempelplats på berget Parnassus!

Nico (Nick) gjorde ett utmärkt jobb som vår reseguide och chaufför. Och Delphis arkeologiska park är mycket mer expansiv än jag trodde att den skulle vara. . . För det första finns Athenas tempel en bit på vägen och lägre på berget än den främsta arkeologiska parken. Vi stannade där i ungefär en halvtimme innan vi gick vidare till den primära platsen, där du hittar Apollontemplet i Delphi. . . men då finns det så mycket mer att se än det ena templet, som skattkammarens byggnad, teatern och så många väggar och fotspår av bostaden. Det var överväldigande i bästa bemärkelse. Jag rekommenderar starkt denna turné till bergen inte så långt från Aten! Tack, Nico, för en fantastisk tid!

I Aten? Missa inte Delphi!

Fantastisk privat rundtur (2 av oss) med Apostolis (hoppas att det är rätt stavning av hans namn). Delphi och ruiner samt Delphi museum är ett måste om du ska till Aten. Historien och ruinerna är lika fascinerande som att se Akropolis. Var bara beredd, den här turen är mycket promenad för att se allt. Det är inte på platt mark, men väl värt det att se en otrolig historia. Vi hämtades i tid och klockan är 2 . 5 timmar varje väg. Lunchen var härlig med en utsikt som var fantastisk på en lokal restaurang. Maten var bra. Önskar bara att serveringspersonalen hade varit mer vänlig och uppmärksam.

Bra sätt att göra en dagsutflykt till Delphi

Vi gjorde den privata bilen från Aten till Delfi (både Athenatemplet, huvudplatsen och museet), staden Arachova och en plats för lunch (ingår ej i priset). Vår chaufför var fantastisk och talade engelska flytande (han svarade på frågor vi hade om alla saker men för att förtydliga för folk är han inte en riktig reseguide, så han fick inte åka runt till någon av platserna med oss. Det var massor av skyltar på engelska på platserna). Bilen var ganska ny och hade wi-fi.

Fantastisk utsikt och underbar resa! Alex gjorde ett fantastiskt jobb med logistik och hjälpte oss att planera vår dag. Rekommenderas varmt som en dagsutflykt från Aten. Worthwhile Private Tour

A bit of confusion with the pick up time but LS Tours made every effort to correct the problem. Once we were picked up we enjoyed the day outside of Athens. Our driver was very knowledgeable with respect to the history of the Delphi ruins. The museum and ruins are an amazing site to see and experience in person. The views from the top of the mountain are spectacular to say the least. Our driver suggested that we walk directly to the top and take photos on the way down because of the views. That was very good advice for us. It is a quite a climb for those that are not somewhat fit. The beauty of a private tour is that you are not rushed by your driver, so you can take your time. The stadium at the top is an incredible site to imagine the events that took place there. After our tour of Delphi, our driver took us to a restaurant (Taverna Vakhos) that had a breathtaking view and excellent local traditional Greek food for a reasonable price.

Easiest way to daytrip to Delphi!

Wonderful day trip to Delphi

Alex, our driver, picked us up at our Airbnb apartment (near the Acropolis) and he was prompt. He gave everyone water bottles and we set out for Delphi. It was about a 2 hour drive, during which he gave us facts about the areas we were passing and then told us the history of the Oracle of Delphi. Our first stop was at the Tholos of Athena, where he dropped us off to explore. It was raining and he offered us a large umbrella to use. (Note - it is a very steep decline which leads to a steep uphill climb back up!) Our next stop was at the Delphi archeological site and museum. Alex asked us which we preferred first because of the rain, and we agreed with him that we should do the museum first with the hopes that the rain would let up later for the outside part. He was right! We toured the museum while it was raining outside. After the museum, we proceeded outside to the archeological site. (Note - it is also a steep uphill climb). Alex told us he’d meet us at the exit 2 hours after drop off, but we could take as long as we wanted/needed. We exited the archeological site around 2 hours after drop off and he was right there waiting for us! After that, Alex drove us to a restaurant in Delphi where he had made a lunch reservation for us. He requested a table next to a window that had the most spectacular view! And the food was delicious, as well! After lunch, we started to head back to Athens. We stopped for a brief time in Arachova to walk around a bit and window shop. At the end, my daughter needed a restroom and when we asked Alex about it, he took her to a cafe and bought himself a coffee so she could use the bathroom. After Arachova, we made a quick stop at a scenic lookout which was spectacular. Alex took some pictures of our whole family for us. We then hopped back in the van and headed back to Athens - about 2 hours for the return. We were extremely happy with Alex and would highly recommend this tour!

A splendid day in Delphi with Michael

Delphi, Narrow roads, great views and fantastic guide

when we were picked up in front of our Airbnb in Athens, we were so excited to see Michael that we had had the day before to Olympia. It was like having a close friend taking us around to see the sights for the day. He pointed out all the olive orchards and how different they were from the day before on the West side vs East side of Greece. The views as we went through various small towns as we approached Delphi. The climb up the side of the hill to see all the ruins was spectacular around every twist and turn. We thought looking down at the amphitheater was spectacular but then kept climbing up to the stadium at the top-- wow. The museum was great to go through and see such fantastic sculptures with such detail knowing this was all done by hand. Michael located a nice restaurant with a view over the cliffs of a local town and looking down the beautiful valley. We hated to leave. His driving skills are amazing to have to back down a road as a semi was coming the other way-- no room for both. It was sad to say goodbye to Michael when we got back to Athens. We would highly recommend him.
