The tour guide had a amazing knowledge of History and made this tour very professional providing over and above information about any monument, place or event in the city and even beyond. I am sorry I can't remenber his name. The tour was at 5 pm, on Friday 16 Feb 2024.

Fantastic tour! The guide was very nice and knowledgeable. We walked around the old town and highland park. The guide considered individual interests and modified the tour accordingly. I also loved the restaurant he recommended after the tour.

A very good tour. Arif is quite knowledgeable about the history of Baku City and guides the group very seamlessly through various points of interest in the city. Pro: Quite a few places to see between in er and modern Baku City Con: A lot of walking up hill is involved All in all, a good experience!!

Poor planning by the operators

Ours was a private tour and had Furnicular and Miniature Book museum included in the package. We were picked at 7 PM and taken directly for the Old City walk. The guide who otherwise was an amazing person who could easily communicate and very cordial completely skipped telling us that the Furnicular and Miniature Book museum closes at 8PM. Ideally we should have started with that and then moved to Old City. Also the travel operator Baku City Tours did not care to plan the tour in a way that it covers places basis timings. It was pretty much a lot of walking that included the spectacular night views of the city new and old...and checking out Heyder Aliyev Center ONLY from the outside. Now today is Monday, all places like Furnicular, Miniature Book museum, Heyder Aliyev Center is closed...we leave tomorrow without visiting any of these places. Very poor planning by the operators. Sam was a great guide but didn't know that Carpet Museum and Heyder Aliyev Center, Miniature Book museum are closed on Mondays 😵‍💫

I booked the Baku Day Tour of the old and new city for €27. I chose this tour because it included the new city as well and I'm interested in the architecture. The guide was very nice but seemed a bit rushed and didn't give as in-depth information as what I was expecting, like the history of the old city or information about the new buildings, it was more like pointing out some statues and buildings and briefly explaining a bit about them. Later, I found out from the other person on my tour that the old city tour is actually offered as a free walking tour. This would have been fine, except the "new city" part of my tour was less than an hour and didn't include most of the things that were advertised in the itinerary, such as the Fountain Park, Carpet Museum and Baku Boulevard, so I'm not really sure what I paid for. We did, however, visit the Martyrs' Lane and Highland Park, which gave great views of the Flame Towers. Overall, I would only recommend this tour if you have and extra €27 and would like a very top-level introduction to Baku.

Great private tour of old and new Baku

This trip was excelent. We where greated by our very friendly guide Taleh. Taleh had lots of knowledge and shared openly about the ways of the old and new Baku. The tour started in the old city, and ended in high land park, with beatuifull views over the city and towards the flame towers. Spectacular views in the night. Thanks Taleh and thanks Baku city tour for a great experience. Magnus

Night Baku Tour is an excellent way to get acquainted with Baku. Baku at night was especially beautiful, well lighted and colourful. Many thanks to our guide Ali, who greatly informed us about the history and culture of Baku. Rza, our driver was also very helpful. Both of them measured over our expectation. The pick-up and drop off were perfect and the dinner was great too!

Our guide was a sophomore in college. His English was not good. Our driver was also very young. We felt uncomfortable in their care. Felt we wasted an evening. Do not take this tour.
