Mycket körning och en oprofessionell researrangör

Detta var en 10-timmars resa där det mesta, säg 90 %, var att köra. Utsikten på toppen av resan var fin men inte värd att köra för mig. Researrangören angav inte en hämtningstid dagen innan som skrivet i Viators bekräftelsemail; vi fick den precis innan avhämtning. Operatörens telefonnummer är inte längre i tjänst och de svarade inte på ett meddelande jag skickade via Viator. Den medföljande lunchen serverades inte förrän klockan 16:00 och fyra av deltagarna fick betalt för det, en överraskning för dem. Detta var inte den resa jag förväntade mig baserat på andra recensioner. Jag undrar om operatören bytte eller sålde verksamheten.

Jag gick på denna resa ensam, inte säker på vad jag skulle förvänta mig, men det visade sig vara fantastiskt. Allt gick smidigt från början till slut. Min guide, Nazif, var riktigt trevlig och hjälpsam. Redan innan turnén började hade jag några problem, men Nazif hjälpte mig, trots att det var sent på natten. Han bryr sig verkligen om att se till att alla har det bra. Jag vill också nämna Layla och Ulya, som följde med oss på turnén. Som ensamresenär fick de mig att känna mig bekväm direkt med sin vänlighet. De tog massor av fantastiska bilder av mig under resan, vilket var en trevlig touch. Jag rekommenderar definitivt denna turné till alla som inte bara vill ha bra service utan också fantastiska upplevelser. Platserna vi besökte var ännu bättre än jag föreställt mig. Och den hemlagade lunchen vi åt var utsökt! Du bör definitivt boka en resa med dem – du kommer inte att bli besviken!

Nazif och vår förare på denna turné var exceptionella! Detta var överlägset en underbar upplevelse. Nazif är mycket kunnig och förmedlade mycket bra information till oss alla. Han var mycket skicklig på att kommunicera på ryska och engelska (liksom azerbajdzjanska!) och ge lika tid åt kunder som behövde översätta. Föraren var utmärkt när han navigerade den bergiga enheten. Båda var mycket professionella och fick oss att känna oss välkomna och entusiastiska över resan. Vi uppskattade verkligen deras professionalism och de gjorde resan trevlig. Alla som reser till Azerbajdzjan bör anstränga sig för att besöka denna by, det är en lång resa men väl värt det!

Drop off at hotel after 11 hours minibus trip. Most of the trip was spent in bus driven by maniac driver who was clocked at 162 km/ hour by one of other travellers, only slowed down when we all protested we wanted to arrive alive. Guide promised shared photos, never arrived, disappointed. At final village destination nice lunch provided then ushered into bus again by driver, no looking around at all, disappointed

Good tour guide, great (small) group travel. Would have liked the information before lunch, rather than after, as was special but list on us. Would also have liked to have seen more of the village rather than in for lunch and out again. All in all a good day out from Baku.

I booked thru the website and then the trip is cancelled by the company as no trips to those areas and give me option to choose another trip by reviewing the prices i paid over price because the cancelled trip costs 103 USD dollar but the trip which i went It costs less than this price i went to shadag and guba with the same rate and i paid the full amount of tickets in shahdaga. The price was for one adult and one kid but with new updates i paid for 2adults The prices on website r over priced and over charged Feeling so unhappy

Dear guest, we explained to you that there was heavy snowfall. We explained that the car would not reach Khinalig. Therefore, we have offered you a tour in the same direction, but with a different end point. You agreed to this! When you returned from the tour, you wanted the money back from us that you paid for the rollercoaster. We refused you this because it is not included in the tour! The most offensive thing is that we asked you whether you wanted a separate place for your child, you did. We also asked about lunch in a restaurant, whether you wanted an adult menu or a children’s menu for your child, and then you wanted an adult one. Then it is logical that you paid as for an adult! You liked everything about the tour, our other guests and our guide can confirm this! You just wanted to return 40 manats (that’s about 20 dollars) that you spent on a roller coaster, but we refused you. And as a result, you gave 1 star without even mentioning the quality of the tour you were on!

An absolutely amazing tour! Our guide was knowledgeable, fun and looked after us very well. The village is stunning. As are the views on the drive through the mountains. A one of a kind trip made even more special by the privilege of being able to try traditional Azerbaijani food in one of the very generous villager’s homes!

Worst tour ever - not worth the visit

This tour is by far the worst we’ve ever experienced. We spent 12 hours on the tour cupped up in the back of a van. On the way in we had two dirty bathroom breaks, one five minute stop to take a quick picture of the outside of a synagogue in Quba and a few 5 minute stops to take a picture across the canyon area. When we finally arrived at the Kinaliq village we hiked for a few minutes up a steep dirt road to reach the lunch house. Lunch was very simple and another very dirty bathroom. We then had 20 minutes to take pictures and back on the bus. There’s really nothing to see in the village other than a pretty Mountain viewpoint. Our guide spoke only a few words and hardly engaged with the group. We had to constantly ask him to turn on the AC since it was hot in the back of the van without window open access. Once we reached the mountain area he said we couldn’t turn on the AC. We had to suffer breathing in truck fumes, dust and other unpleasant smells. I would not recommend this tour at all. We would have been better off staying in Baku. A total waste of our time.

Azerbaijan is not sll desert! It has lovely woods too!

Very nice trip. Really good guide whos speaks really good english and explains so much during the whole trip. I highly recommend this trip. There is possiblity to see so much different nature, mountains, villages and get some rest at places. That little village where the lunch is served is beyond amazing, the food, their home and everything. An experience that has to been seen by one self, No picture can justify the beautiful nature!!!

Hot crowded bus with tiny seats. Tour was OK.

Hot crowded minibus. Seats very small not good for sitting next to people. Kept turning the A/C off when it was hot. I understand when we are high up but kept turning it off and saying we dont need it. Guide was very loud and annoying.

Dear guest, thank you for your review. But you changed the date of the tour 2 times! The next day, your group of 12 people went with the same guide and in the same car, and according to the reviews, everything was great! The seats in the minibus are designed according to the standards, if a big person sat next to you, this is not our problem! Plus it's all over the world so if the car goes up a slope of 45 degrees, the air conditioner needs to be turned off. If we do not turn off the air conditioner, the car's engine will simply heat up and you will be left in the middle of the road! And on that day when you were driving there was a heat of +39! You also say that the guide spoke loudly, There were 9 other people on the tour with you and how would they hear? The guide must speak loudly!

Great views but a long ride

Scenery was the best. Driving up into the mountains was fascinating. Be prepared for mountain roads and walking through the village needs proper footwear to avoid the local hazards Lots of stops helped break up the drive but not much free time and quite a long day. Use the supermarket stop to get some supplies for yourself.

You did not like the fact that the mountain road to the highest village, a long excursion, shoes, free time. Initially, when you booked the tour, you were informed that you were going to the highest mountain village. Accordingly, it is normal that you went on a high mountain road! When you booked an excursion, you also saw that the excursion is for the whole day (for 11 hours). The fact that your shoes were not comfortable was, logically, you should imagine! And also you wrote about more free time, this was a clearly marked group tour and in our menu you can see the time for each stop! If you wanted more free time, then you should have booked an individual tour, which is 2 times more expensive! And all these facts do not apply to our service, but you rate our service! We can come to the conclusion that you liked everything, except for the above facts. And, accordingly, it would be fair if you gave a much better rating! All the best!

Dear Guest! Thanks for the answer! But I would like to know how it relates to our service, then that the day was long? When you booked the tour, you saw that the tour is for the whole day (for 11 hours). The synagogue is open only on Shabbat, Friday and Saturday, and the guide warned you about this and you got a Mikvah at the site of the Synagogue! We can conclude that you liked everything except the above facts. And, accordingly, it would be fair if you gave a much better rating! All the best!

Many thanks to our guide Michael, who able to explains everything from history to story of each site. The tour was one whole day long and made 3 major stops, and the lunch included was in one of the nice outdoor restaurant and it was delicious. Recommended !
