Worth the $$$ for the convenience and experience of the lakes.

Jeff was a great guide and we liked learning about the history of mountain rescue on our way to the lakes. This tour is the perfect length of time at an amazing price. It might seem unnecessary considering the Roam and city transportation; however this is well worth the extra $$. No hassle, no waiting for buses, no race to snag a spot on the public buses - just show up and enjoy the next 4 hours at the most beautiful lakes we’ve ever seen!

Lovely half day trip from Banff

Simon was a fantastic guide, he had a good knowledge of the area and we were able to see Lake Louise and Moraine Lake in the autumn sunshine, we even had a close encounter with a moose. Great trip.

Beauty in the Canadian Rockies’ Lakes

Seeing the differing colors between Lake Louise and Moraine Lake was beautiful and educational. Eli, the bus driver, had fun facts to share and the perfect, affable approach for a tour guide. All in all, it was a lovely morning. The only downside was that we discovered at the last minute that we had to show up five minutes before 7:42 AM for departure instead of 8 AM as listed on the promotional materials and the basic info on the ticket. You had to go through fine print to find out about the earlier time and different location.

Great way to see the Lakes

A great way to see these lakes. Especially as Moraine Lake isn't accessible to personal vehicles and for me it was the better of the two lakes. Buck our tour guide/driver was a fountain of knowledge and made the experience really great.

Terrible Experience right at the beginning

I am not impressed at all with your service: 1) I was told to wait at the pick up point 5 minutes ahead of the pickup time which is 7;42am. I arrived at the pick up point (Train Station) at 7:20am and waited until 8:30am before the bus show up. 2) In between, I need to call for support (8:05am) to ensure that whether I missed the bus or the driver is still on track 3) The driver Kyla didn't even apologize that she was late 4) for the whole journey from where I was picked up all windows in the VAN was fogged up. Nothing can be seen through the window -- looks like either the driver doesn't have any experience nor the car was not prepared for the trip. 5) The sound system in the VAN was terrible I couldn't hear what the driver said -- but most of the tourists on the bus were senior they didn't even bother to voice the concerns 6) Basically, for the first half of the trip I couldn't hear from the PA system and couldn't see anything via the window for this "sightseeing trip" 7) Lastly, at Lake Louise after sightseeing, I ran for 10 minutes in the parking lot frantically and checked every single tour bus to find out where our bus is. When I found the bus and asked why aren't you parked at the same place where you drop us off? She told me that the only place to pick up tourist is at the lower level but she didn't tell us about this when she dropped us off. And some other tourists on the bus saying that they had no idea about where to board the bus after sightseeing. If you want to know more you can email me directly.

Lake Louise and Moraine Lake are no good in heavy rain

The weather forecast indicated that it would be heavy rain all morning, when the trip was to take place. We couldn't see anything out of the bus and unfortunately not a nice view of Lake Louise and Moraine Lake either. The scope was very limited. The guide did a good job, but the dialogue couldn't make up for the fact that the view was almost 0% In our opinion, you should have canceled the trip when visibility to the 2 lakes was very limited

Excellent Half Day Trip

We chose to book through Viator to avoid the hassle of booking bus shuttles in advance and were so glad we did so. Our driver and guide, Eli, was knowledgeable about the history of the area, and did his best to find us some wildlife along the way to both lakes. We had about an hour at both lakes which was sufficient for a short walk and time to take plenty of photos. Arriving early at Lake Louise meant we escaped the crowds too. Both lakes are stunning and well worth visiting.
