Repetitive Cruise

I mean.. I can’t complain. It was exactly what’s listed. 2 1/2 hours is WAY too long. The cruise went back and forth about 6 times down the canal. Not much to see after the first and second pass. If you have a dead day in cairns go for it, but I’d recommend going out for dinner and controlling when you wanna leave

A Rainey Night in Cairns

Unfortunately our experience was marred by horrible weather with torrential rain. That being said the ship was very nice and the crew was hospital and attentive once we boarded. We misinterpreted the tour, since it was listed on Viator we expecte a tourist inspired journey through the harbor with dialog of the area and history, instead we found it was really a romantic cruise. There was no narration and after cruising the harbor for several times through the rain Cairns harbour is not all that picturesque. We had dinner and again the staff was excellent and the food presented was first quality if only it was hotter all would have been much better. What was delivered was as promised but I wish the description of the cruise on a tourist website would have been clearer. After 2 hours cruising the same route we docked and we’re ready to leave.

Firstly, shout out to Ben our waiter. What a lovely young man. Great sense of humour. All staff very attentive. Food was great. Only have one negative, not being a cairns local, getting to correct boat was a very wet challenge as it was raining . Adding a map to dock location would have been great. When we boarded we asked the captain for a towel or something to dry off as we were soaked! He said they didn't have anything. Took the staff to give us a heap of napkins to help us out.

This was my second time attending this cruise. First on a date and the second for a work Christmas party. I recommend it to everyone! It's just relaxing, and the staff are always so polite. The food is awesome and it's just a nice change of scenery.

The dinner cruise was cancelled last minute and we were not notified. We only learned of it when we were at the dock and called 5 mins prior to departure. Will not be recommending this experience to anyone. They also insisted that they let us know but they were several people waiting and no one had received a communication

Our sincere apologies, on the 20th of November an emailed cancellation notification was sent directly to customer.care@viator.com explaining the booking had been cancelled as we had no direct email contact for you. We would appreciate a direct email contact to be able to able to offer you a different date to dine with us and extend a bottle of wine courtesy of the house for this inconvenient first experience with us. We will endeavour to improve such communication issues with our agents to avoid future similar disappointment. We sincerely hope to have you dine with us at a future date.

I would’ve rather spent $200 on pretty much anything else. You just sail up & down the cairns marina for 2 hrs. The staff seemed untrained, we ended up not paying for our drinks because it was just vodka & tap water. I seen a lot of people sending back drinks. Also bringing out someone’s birthday cake while docking really is pointless.

Not sure. It was just overall a little boring and disappointing. It was hard to find our vessel, and a disappointing cruise in general. Food was okay - staff were wonderful. Can't really add much more.

Going in circles in Cairns

The cruise started good with a sunset and nice breeze. The food was not very good, slim pickings if you did not like seafood. The desserts were good. We drove in small circles around the inlet for a couple hours often going slower than the current. We kept smelling our own exhaust. I was starting to get dizzy and nauseous. It almost seemed like they were trying to conserve gas?? We finally said something to one of the crew and asked what was going on. She said she would check. Shortly after this the ship headed out of the inlet into the bay and it was beautiful for the last 1/2 hour. We don't recommend.
